I struggle to understand why FIFA are taking so long over this, is it down to something NZF haven't filled out correctly on the form they faxed? or is just FIFA being dicks and dragging their heels until november when Panama make a complaint.???

I have found after many years of doing business, that the best policy to adopt if you are waiting for someone to get in touch with you is blitz them. Get in their face every day asking when the decision is arriving. After a while they will get sick of your daily calls. Same goes for NZF. They should be sending a request for a decision every day until they hear back.........even if it means over heating their fax magazine!!!!

Funny how everything goes in a circle.....I was reading in Das Speigel the German daily newspaper an article about the internet spy scandal that is going on at the moment. Apparently most  major German business's are so concerned about lack of security of the internet that they have banned staff from emailing any business information that would not appear on the companies public webpage. They have gone back to hardcopy, mail and courier....and I guess FAX. So in fact FIFA is not behind the times using FAX.....they are ahead.

The Boxall one you mention Valeo is interesting. Ricki picked Sigmund because he gave 100% effort (I can't knock him for that but I can for the execution). It all depends on what Ernie wants. I don't think that Boxall gives the same effort as Sigmund does, but he does have a bit more 'football' skills in his favour and I would suspect, less brain explosions.

Re-reading this, maybe effort is not the right word as I am sure they both give everything. Someone can help me out for the right word. I hope people know what I mean.

Ernie will likely focus more on the execution than the effort. He wants a winning team, not try-hard's who on a good day will be competitive.

Look, I've been a big supporter of Siggy - even when he punched Adrian Leijer off the ball - but what he did against the UAE was just disgusting. He should sit out the game for a decent amount of time.
