What is killen current situation? Is he still under contract with chongqing? If yes, when is he going to resume playing especially with the Aw'S playing an important game this month

Had a quick look last night - couldn't find any news other than what he said in the Beeb article above (Chinese news article dated a week ago).

Club should sign him but are looking at their other slots for foreign imports.

CSL starts next week.  Not sure about when China A starts.

Chris is in pre-season training.  Played in a friendly at weekend and on score sheet.  Season starts on 16 March.

Haven't been paying much attention sorry.  Distractions with a lot more time managing & coaching this season and watching a rip-roaring English season come to an end (oh and work has been somewhat distracting too for a while). 

A few trawls through the websites 3-4 weeks ago but nothing on Killen or Old (both of their teams are doing it rather naff in China One).

I will start looking in earnest once Spurs wrap up 4th place in England in a few days time.

Killen a month ago against Hunan Xiangtao (1-1 draw)

Chongqing playing now at Chengdu Blades.  Half time it is 1-0 to Chengdu.   Killen has had one scoring opportunity.

Chengdu look more dangerous with the ball, and pressure more when on defence.

55 mins still 1-0

Killen has a nice run into the penalty box and back flicks to on running player, who slips up!

56 min: Chengdu striker slips his marker with ease, slots home for 2-0

61 min: Killen draws a free kick just outside the penalty area.  Cleared with ease.

63 min:  Chongqing win another FK this time on the other side of the penalty area.  Same result only even worse. Cleared with great ease.

66 min, ANOTHER FK at the top of the penalty box, 5 m out. Result corner.  Cleared.

71 min: Chengdu capt goes down just outside penalty area and is injured.  FK almost nets anbother goal but goes straight to CQ goalkeeper.

This game is played at a good fast pace.  Chongqing are clearly more pants than Chengdu.

Good technical skills but poor execution of passes which lead to turnovers.

80 min:  Ref books Chengdu player for diving.  Good game by the ref so far.

88 min Game petering out.  Killen head flicks on but fouls defender in the process.

90 mins (+4 stoppage). Chongqing win corner.  Nothing.  Chongqing press for a consolation goal but nothing going their way.

All over. Chengdu Blades 2 , Chongqing FC 0

Killy wanted back by Hibs apparantely.... no more personal driver so not sure if it will go any further..

Chris Killen scored a late brace to give Chongqing FC a 2-1 victory over Guizhou Zhicheng.

Junior footy finished last week (took up much more time than last season), so may see what I can find in the remaining few weeks of the China One season.  Chongqing have been rooted in the bottom three for the whole season so far, so something is clearly not well in the club.

In the last game Chongqing beat Hunan 2-1 at home.  Claudinei, a Brazilian striker, scored both goals (I think he is a recent addition).  Killen was subbed at 66 minutes.

Nice video clip Junior 82, but can't say I'm impressed with the level of football. Is that really top level football in China? Wow they've got a bit of a way to go to get the standard up. Plus those stadiums aren't exactly bursting.

It's China One.  The second division.

Chongqing are 2nd from bottom so they are probably not a huge crowd puller at the moment.  Crowds are in fact pretty good overall in China One and MUCH better than A-League in CSL.

Top CSL will whip top A-League most days - nufc's balls are my word.

Over the weekend Chongqing draw 2-2 with Yanbian.  Killen scores the equaliser in the 66th minute, after his team mate Claudinei scores the opener within the first minute.

Killen seems to be coming into form just at the right time for the World Cup play-offs on the horizon...NICE !!!

any hope that killen could play in the intercontinental playoff?

Chris Killen's achilles surgery rules him out of the tour and potentially  longer, but Shane Smeltz (hip), Chris Wood (hamstring), Marco Rojas (foot) and  Tim Payne (ankle) are all expected to be fit again for the intercontinental  playoff against Panama, Mexico, Honduras or Jamaica.
