Of course nothing to do with the fact that Cardiff to Bristol, over the Severn is only a one hour drive!

Will have to be announced quick UK transfer window closes 19:00 GMT on Monday 2nd February.

If it happens plus with Libby & Marko playing within Wales, surely never a better time to be Kiwi football fan living in the Principality.

Spent a couple of years living in Bristol so always got a soft spot for The Robins even despite how they turned so rabidly on our beloved Marinovic! Seem like forever trapped in perennial Championship purgatory, hope FInn could be the man to turn their fortunes around. Not sure what it's like now days but there's worse cities in the UK to be in as a youngster especially as a pro footballer.

If Bristol were to pay £5 million, with our sell on clause plus youth solidarity dues, we could be in line for a $2 million payday

Yep, the Robins opt for another promising young CB from the MLS instead in Noah Eile - No trip east to Ashton Gate for me

Probably for the best. Could see him getting far more interest and going for a much bigger fee (of which a significant chunk would flow through to us) after a breakout World Cup performance

Thats why Silkenborg didn't sell McCowatt.

Where is the source we are getting 40 per cent of his next transfer fee?

Auckland will rise once more

It won't be 40%. Sell-on clauses are usually in the 15-20 percent range. I seem to remember it being said we negotiated a sell-on clause when we sold him, but even if we didn't, we will still get development solidarity payments.

Near full time, and Timbers trail 2-0 at Colorado.
Surman and Bonetig as the CB partnership.

But's it's a 3rd ex ALM young CB that's the star today.
18 yr old Lucas Herrington (ex Roar) with a goal for the Rapids.

His last Roar game, was the great Nix 3-0 road win in Redcliffe.

Timbers went down to 10 men at 77 mins (2-0).

Edit - a 2-0 loss for Portland. Highlights

Via Niche Cache, 7 min Surman chat. He had a month long holiday in NZ.
Some AWs WC chat.

Sounds like a guy who quietly sets some lofty goals for himself. Wonder if one is to crack the EPL.

I remember some story that as a teenager he wrote down goals like playing for the Nix and then AWs by a certain age.

Surman a full game as the Timbers lose 1-4 at home to Vancouver.

Aussie Bonetig was out injured. Whitecaps one of the better teams in the Western Conference last season.

Highlights. Timbers cut apart. 36 yr old Thomas Muller still running around.

Oh man. That’s a tough break. Leading 2-1 after 90 minutes. Looks like there was a pen included in two goals in stoppage time for Vancouver.
