Personally, selfishly, not all that worried about where Finn goes so long as that club pays a big fee and the Nix gets a big cash injection from whatever sell-on clause we have.

Saw someone add the 2-3 mil figures to Burnley bid, no idea where they got those from.

He won't get Herrington kinda numbers but if he could hit 5 million pounds, that would be massive for us.

Standard from the A-League in general would be about 20%.

But unless the club, his agent or Finn himself came out and said so, it's unlikely we'll ever know the details of those inner workings.

I very much doubt we'd pull a Brisbane Roar and sell a buyout clause for significantly less either.

There is a good argument for Timbers to hold off to the January window, hoping someone is desperate for defensive cover and will pay more for him. That way they have him for a possible Play Offs run.

..............club certainly wouldn’t want to part with one of their key dudes just when they’ve gotten things back on track... although the Timbers have just sold forward Kevin Kelsy to Rangers for US$13m so playoff push or not, they’ll accept a fee if it’s hefty enough. No surprises there. The most likely outcome right now seems to be that Surman completes the season and leaves a hero in January, though there’s a week left for things to change.

I might be in the minority but I think Burnley is the right move for him. 

It's  a small club, with a small competitive squad. He is going to get game time. Most importantly Burnley, like everybody knows, is an elevator club. They going to challenge for the league or playoff and try to get back to the Prem. 

If he goes to a Prem club now, his going to sit, watch and learn. That's not a knock on him, it's just the reality of how super tough the Prem level is. Woodsy will say the same.
