Injured or out of favour?
From the recent AWs games he was clearly the third best CB - uncharacteristically soft, indecisive.
Clearly still a classy young player and confidence is key.

The coach who brought him to the Blades (Selles) has been sacked.
Sheffield U are struggling in last place, and have brought in some new experienced CB signings.
Bindon may need to look for a new loan deal in the Jan window. Still very young, this being his first shaky spell in pro football. And yeah the 2nd Socceroos match his worst game for the AWs.

New gaffer Wilder goes through his squad CBs and doesn't even mention Bindon. Not a good sign
Chris Wilder: “Would I have signed Japhet Tanganga? One hundred per cent. If Robbo [Jack Robinson] had gone, would I have signed Ben Mee? One hundred per cent. The club tried to sign Chiedo [Ogbene] before he went to Luton. He was living in Kelham Island and the club tried to do it, but they missed out on it. I see his career and his profile and he's a good Sheffield United player. [Tahith] Chong we all know about, Mark McGuinness we all know about. He played over the road [for United’s rivals Wednesday] and did very well for the team down the road. He's a good player, an experienced Championship player. It's putting them all together.
Nils, I would have signed Nils... the boy from Sweden. They're good signings that we can develop with our academy players, with players we've signed. Young Alex Matos has got a great CV from Chelsea and he'd have been on the radar as well. The group that's been put together is a talented group now. The key is for them to show it and me to try and bring that out of them. And 100 per cent I believe we can do.”

Okay so where does that leave Tyler Bindon then? It leaves him lining up alongside Nils Zatterstrom for the U21s is where it leaves him. Premier League Development second tier footy against Huddersfield Town. Those two were the centre-backs in a 3-1 victory with Tyler Bindon scoring the third goal.
It’s not what he would have envisaged when he signed with the club on loan a few months back but this was a decent chance to play some pressure-free football and showcase to his new boss what he does and hopefully he did exactly that.

Tricky times for him after the managerial change, but he made the most of it by scoring the third goal in a 3-1 win#FlyingKiwis pic.twitter.com/V6wrth4sNt

Sheffield U lose 1-2. Looks like they had 3 CBs, but Bindon an unused sub.
Danny Ings on for Ben Mee late on when they were chasing an equaliser.
Blades gaffer Wilder red carded just prior HT.

Tyler B might end up riding the pine for awhile. Is now a number of experienced CBs at the last placed Blades getting mins ahead of them, as often happens when a team is trying to get out of the relegation zone. Trust the old heads to get it done.
I guess Forest will review his loan situation over the next few months.

Wilder has picked three centre-backs in his last two elevens. Japhet Tanganga’s played as sort of a hybrid right-back so it’s not a back three but it might as well be when we’re counting options. Nils Zatterstrom (who also played that U21s game with Bindon) was on the bench for Oxford but Bindon was the only CB amongst the substitutes against Southampton. In other words, he was the next man up if one of that other trio had gotten injured. That puts him fourth in the pecking order... about right for a club like Sheffield United given the state of that club (seven defeats from eight matches).

Bindon’s inexperience at this level counts against him. Even after missing a few games, there are still only four players younger than Bindon who’ve gotten more minutes than him this Championship season and Max Alleyne (Watford) is the only fellow defender among them. Another of those players is Australia’s Nestory Irankunda (also at Watford). 20-year-olds don’t start Championship games at CB very often. Bindon is miles ahead of where most defenders his age.
All things considered, this seems like a decent spot for him to knuckle down from. He was overexposed in those four appearances where a disjointed team around him left Bindon hung out to dry. But he hasn’t been banished or isolated or condemned. He’s simply been nestled into a more realistic spot for somebody of his age and experiece, particularly considering where this club is at right now. Opportunities will still come his way if he trains hard and earns them. He’ll learn more from this experience than he would from being recalled by Nottingham Forest to play for their U21s for the rest of the year. We can probably chill on this situation for a wee while, it’s fine. Not ideal but still fine.
Hopefully gets recalled and sent elsewhere. No point sitting on the bench, especially in a WC year.

All Whites defender Tyler Bindon could soon leave Sheffield United, reports say
Speculation is mounting that New Zealand international Tyler Bindon could have his loan with English Championship club Sheffield United cut short.
Bindon (20) was loaned to United in July by English Premier League club Nottingham Forest, who signed the defender from League One club Reading in February.
However, Bindon’s season-long loan could be ended prematurely by United manager Chris Wilder who reportedly wants to clear out the club’s squad to make room for new signings in the January transfer window.
Bindon has not played a minute of first-team football for United since August, and Wilder hasn’t called on him in any of the seven matches in which he’s been in charge since replacing sacked predecessor Ruben Selles.
United are in the relegation zone of the Championship, and Wilder has been charged with keeping the club in the competition.
Football League World claims Wilder is preparing to make a series of “brutal transfer decisions” ahead of the January window that will see the early departures of Bindon and teammates Louie Barry and Ben Godfrey.

Recently weeks Blades have moved from a back 5 to a back 4, so Tyler’s chance of getting mins even more reduced if all the other CBs are fit
