0-0 at HT. Bindon starting.
Edit - 1-1 in NT but Burnley win 3-1 in ET Bindon the full 120 mins His last game for the Royals?
Great experience up against a couple of Wood’s old EPL team mates in 35 yr olds Jay Rodriguez and Ash Barnes. Couple tough big unit, tough old heads that you find in The Championship
The Reading Chronicle: “Tyler Bindon (8/10): Looked the best defender on the pitch, oozing quality. Great with the ball at his feet and threw his body in the way of everything. A real standout performance against the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Barnes.”
Time is starting to run out for a move this window, less than two weeks left. But I wouldn't be upset at all if he didn't make a move. Getting the minutes he is getting now at his age is priceless. Look what has happened to Waine.
Normally I'd generally agree with the sentiment of the previous two posts, but Bindon might well be the best centre half in the whole league. He's been wildly dominant in league One for a 19 year old.
Maybe it's because I'm a kiwi that I'm particularly noticing it, but I'm currently based in the UK and the noise around this kid is crazy at the moment. My local team is in the championship, and our fans aren't even dreaming of getting him - all the chatter is about him moving to championship teams in the top half, and for him to slot straight into the starting XI. A lot of people here reckon he's the real deal and destined for the prem in a few years - I hope he does move, personally.
In the first podcast of 'The Unused Subs', Ryan Nelson says about Bindon:
"If he keeps going on the trajectory he's going, he'll arguably be the best ever player that's ever played for New Zealand. It's as simple as that. He's got everything that is needed... and some, to play at that level."
Nelly is a part of his management team who I believe got him the opportunity in England initially. Being that Blackburn is supposedly a massive fan of Bindon, and the fact that Nelly played many a time for them, I wouldn't be surprised if Blackburn get his signature.
During the podcast itself, Nelly had to disconnect mid-yarn to field some calls. Probably regarding Bindon

Nelsen.
Okay so looking at a potential Blackburn move in some more detail.
They are 5th in The Championship, with an established CB pairing of 34 yr old Dan Batth (21 starts) and 29 yr old Dominic Hyam (27 starts) from Scotland.
So if Bindon went there, it likely would be initially to sit on the pine. But that would be okay for half a season. Batth turns 35 in September and maybe in his last season at this level??

There genuinely a few rumours floating around over here that Rovers are actually one of the interested clubs at the moment. Would be a cool story, following in Ryan's footsteps!

Bloody brilliant this if it comes off!
Probably the best deal for all parties as well to be honest. Reading keep a vital cog in their side for the rest of the 24/25 season, Bindon continues to get minutes, and then he joins a Premier League club for 25/26 pre season.
3 Kiwis on the books at the same Premier League club - Unprecedented!
How much input do you think Wood has had in this deal?
You'd like to think he's had more than just a little word in Nuno's ear. 😂
Best part of this deal for mine though (when it happens) is that he'll stay with Reading until seasons end.
Probably could not have worked out any better to be honest. Nottingham buying for the upside and future potential. Reading get a decent fee and keep the player for the near term, and Bindon gets another 18 (+ with potential playoffs) games of football under his belt.
