Christ, I won't even be watching that when it's free on TV 3. What a wanker.

I can't imagine Joel paying to watch that so he's going up in my opinion every day.

when he said that he was focused on the phoenix at the moment? Yeah, seems he did.

Or is there another interview I haven't come across?

Boyd was at a 50 Shades (50 shades!) screening while the game was on. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.

Just because I am curious, how do we know he was at the movies when the game was on then?

2nd Best. Thed only way to know that Tyler was ast the movies was to be there to, the only wasy to know for certain that it was 50 shades was to be in the same movie and either see him walk in or see him as you walked in. So how was the Movie?

My flatmate saw him there. And Tegal was working at the cinema at the same time and confirmed it.

So why wasn't Tegal watching the game? Are you sure he was 'working'?

one of the perks is that I get to see parts that movie over and over again. such a joy

Much rather that than watching us beat victory away for the time with a comeback 3-2 win.

Ok, I use admit that for the first time ever that Tegal may be a good source if he works there. I'm still intrigued by his comment that Boyd didn't pay. Tegal can you expand?

We should ask Ryan54 if this is an indicator of a good attitude

When did I say that Boyd had a good attitude? I'm sorry that I wasn't clear enough in my posts before. All I said was that I don't like to judge or speculate on someone's character when I do not have enough evidence to judge. If evidence presents itself, then I will use it to judge. I'm still waiting for the evidence that Chris James wasn't signed because he was a dick. The more likely reason James wasn't signed was because Merrick was looking at Rodriquez and Bonevacia and James is only good enough to play in the French 4th division. Maybe Boyd just isn't very good?

thanks. geez, using the sponsors free product at the same time as a match is played just rubs salt into the wanker move. Next thing we will learn is he was sculling back carlsburgs and eating Sundees whilst watching the porn.

That would quite frankly be better than other things he could have been doing.

Watching Carlsberg's whilst eating porn on Sundays for example.

so if I'm reading this thread correctly, Tyler was seen at a particular cinema o the night he wasn't picked to play for the team and as this cinema is a supplier to the club he probably had a wink (handshake) to not have to pay - why is this a bad thing? are we trying to say that he had to be at home watching the game at the pub with the Fever?

Right. And he said that morning in a radio interview that he will watch the game at home with buddies.

But let's face it football is his job, he is not a fan, he is leaving the club, maybe had date? I remember watching '9 1/2 weeks' as a date, that was smart move. He may watched the game the next morning, maybe they do this all together with Ernie and analyse it. Maybe he knows that he never plays for the Phoenix again and his motivating is low, gives a shark. Maybe he cant stand see the other playing, while he is out? His head is already in Portugal. He is now what? 20 years old? Always works hard and disciplined a bit of late teenage revolting? Maybe, maybe, maybe...

You would have thought as one of his flat mates was playing he would have had the decency to at least take his date to the pub to watch the game

Really dont see the problem and why he has been singled out.So what he told a little white lie.I look forward to confirmation from someone that all those other players who wernt in the game day squad watched the game or got their mum to write Ernie a note  why not.

To me he has come to look a bit of a tool out of all of this.

I mean seriously, he is under contract, not injured, claims he wants game time before he goes, so what's he doing not even watching the game.

about 11 years ago · edited about 11 years ago · History

I meant that he is still a nix player. I'd expect any player to have enough of an interest in how the team does that they take 90mins out of their week to watch their teammates play in one of the bigger games of the season.

To me, the fact he chose to watch a (sharke) film that ran the exact same time as the nix game (he could have seen it before/after/another day) shows a complete lack of interest in the team doing well, and really speaks volumes about his attitude, and gives weight behind the rumours of him not getting game time because of his disinterested attitude.

He is getting paid to be a nix player, but he has clocked out early and doesn't care how the team he is a part of performs. Unprofessional.

couldnt agree more tegal

I didnt buy into the bad attitude rumours that were going round for a while at all, and I never commented on that as it was very speculative and perhaps harsh, but to me this suggests that is definitely an issue with this boy

Although I guess in hindsight the fact that merrick played brockie right up until the day he left should've been enough evidence that something was up with Boyd

Hmm a few interesting points here for expansion.

If you are a contracted member of a squad, is it a written part of your contract that you must attend every game at home that your team plays in? (Obviously only the nominated game squad will travel to and attend away games).

If not in your written contract, is there an unwritten expectation that you will attend home games? Is this a part of the Nix culture ?

If a squad member has been told that they will not be playing for the club again, do either of the 2 above situations get cancelled ?

If fans have dissed you on public forums without offering any actual proof, do you owe them anything ? (Mind you, some may say this is proof).

Personally I am surprised that he has taken this action, he is either very aggrieved, or immature, or both.

And lastly for Tegal, is it against your employment conditions to be confirming rumours on a public forum ? Asked tongue in cheek, but ...
