Interesting that Danny Hay is Tim Payne's agent. It's like the papers running that "SHOCK HORROR Wynton Rufer says sack Ricki because he won't sign Marinovic" non-story.

The import slots have hardly been wasted, Ifill Sanchez and Smith are well worth having in the team.

Reason is I think unique in NZ journalism in that almost everything he writes is off the mark - as a sporting columnist he just seems to get it wrong every single time.

Just had a look at it now. What strikes me as odd about all these "opinion" pieces is that in this age of interactive IT thingy there is no comments section (same as the Rattue piece in the Granny Herald).
