Kurt Warner officially retired today - don't think he'll do a Favre and change his mind (although I think the Cards would love hime to).

A sure Hall of Famer for me, it'll be a travesty if he doesn't get in.

Super Bowl analysis to ridiculous proportions now (no pun intended). SC covering quarterback golden ratio of their faces.

Anyone watching on ESPN change over to Sky Sport 2 and save your eyes.
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
WOW, I was watching on SS2 anyway but just went over to check. Even on my old CRT TV its still ridiculously clearer on SS2. Guessing that the CBS feed is an HD broadcast?

Colts looking good early

Going for it on 4th and 1. Before the play is done, i'm gonna say i disagree.
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
And i'm right. Would have put them within a touchdown. At least should have been a QB sneak, Colts are to quick around the fringes.
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Should be tight. Interesting call on 4th and one but it didn't effect too much in the end.

Come on colts
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Your right, they got it back and got the field goal in the end so it turned out ok. I've been watching and i'm struggling to see how the Colts aren't miles in front. Saints doing well to stick with them.

C'mon Saints, bring it home in the 4th!

I would go for 2 here.

I think that was kicked out, but couldn't complain if it was ruled incomplete. I thought he had possession but it could go either way.

TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!

10th defensive touchdown of the year for the Saints - its not just about the offense.

Congrats El Grapadura, Saints played almost perfect today & deserved the win.
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago

'getting'.  I left him at 5 and he was struggling to stand.  Had the Feverish sway on.  HUGELY hammered.

Cracking day in an absolutely packed Four Kings with just our little enclave supporting the Saints.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Good stuff. Keep him away from YF now though!

Thanks for all the congrats lads, it was a glorious day yesterday.

Got home around 11, and then watched the replay on ESPN till 2 in the morning. Fantastic stuff.

Eagles trade McNabb to the Redskins.

Obviously trying their best to be propping up the NFC East next season.

Draft today. Bradford 1, Suh 2 and McCoy (Gerald not Colt) 3. That was pretty obvious.

But Tebow got drafted pretty early, to McDaniels Broncos, everybody will be interested to see how he goes.
almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
Yeah, surprised Tebow went that high.

On a slightly unrelated matter, Drew Brees has been chosen by fans to be on the cover Madden 11. Absolutely crapping myself now that the Madden curse may strike again...

Democratically voted in, so might not be cursed.

Here's something interesting which I'm sure will generate some debate.

It's a list of the best QB's by franchise. And there are some surprises:
- Green Bays is not Brett Favre
- The Jets is not Joe Namath

Then there's:
- Staubach vs Aikman
- Montana vs Young
- Unitas vs Manning
- Simms vs the other Manning
- Moon vs McNair

Then there's the no brainers: Elway, Marino, McNabb, Bradshaw

And finally all those where you just have to say "who?"

Enjoy!

Love this "Brett Favre's flip-flopping is at full throttle"

It did occur to me yesterday that this is just a tactic so he doesn't have to go through training camp. Just retire before camp starts and then come out of retirement the day after it finishes.

That way he gets to miss out on all that running and fun activities like 2-a-days.

Heard it is quite good, but just the same as last years.

Having said that. I've the last Madden I bought was 09, and I played NFL 2K5 more than that when I had both. I liked the 2K game, but then EA just bought up all the licensing.

Also, worth running a Fever fantasy league this year? Would do one if enough people keen. I usually play Yahoo Sports, but will join if someone starts an NFL.com one.

tweaked last years one if anyone actually joined it:

Who saw Eli get slashed today!

3 inch gash across the head required 11 stiches.

Watched the Broncos @ Benegals game yesterday just to see Tebow.. Did fine and showed some hustle on that touchdown run
