What about the original AFL uniforms that the Broncos have been wearing a few times this season (notably against the Chargers on MNF a few weeks ago).

Horrible.

So what's the Eagles record? 5-0? And three games that never happened?

OK, i'll give you that one, that's just plain wrong.

Lets keep the throwback uniforms on for every week this season!..Either that or just keep with starting rookie Josh Freeman @ QB

Eagles lay a big egg and the Boys win the East yahoo!! (first time in Cowboys history they have managed consecutive shut outs - Go D)

Seems Dallas has got over their December hoodoo now they just need to get over their playoff hoodoo (haven't won a playoff game since '96).

Still since it's the Eagles again, in Dallas again, it looks good. BTW - the crowd at this game was a shade over 100K - unbelievable!

Q: Can the Pats win without Wes Welker? (first report suggested torn ACL/MCL which would mean gone for the season).

What are your picks, I feel I'm just stabbing in the dark after seeing some of the results.

Anyway, Jets, 'Boys, Pats, Cards.

Agree with Jets and Pats, even if Pats don't have Welker. Just don't think that there's anything special about either Cincy or Ravens.

Cowboys v Eagles is a tough one - Boys have won both games this season against them, and have looked impressive in the last 3 weeks. But the Eagles are a team that turns up in the playoffs, while the Boys have been big chokers in recent history. Tough one to pick, but I'll go with the Boys because if they can run as well as yesterday they'll be tough to stop.

Think Packers will take care of the Cards again.

Too bad, go the 'Boys!

How many play-offs in the last 12 years for the Cowgirls Malky ?

Amazing how much better a side is without TO.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Amen to that!

The last 12 years have been a sad tale though. The last Dallas QB to win a playoff game was Troy Aikman! After he retired in 2000 there have been 10 QB's between him and Romo so forgive me a little celebrating.

And I'm not going to proclaim the second coming and suggest they could go all the way or anything silly, just happy to be alive for one more week.

They did make some big plays though...

How did St. Louis go this season (Show's how massive a supporter I am)?

Let's just say that they have the first pick in next years draft and leave it at that

OMG, Ravens up by 20 over the Pats late in the 3rd.

Brady with 3 picks so far.

Would not have picked that

Baltimore bore me to tears. I almost want the Pats to win.

Three for me, and two for them.

10 Jan 20:40 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
Yeah, they're not pretty to watch. 17 yards passing in the first half. They done it all by rushing.

Up by 19 with just over 10 minutes left in the 4th.

I guess not. 2 minute warning and this one is over.

Anybody else watching the Cards v Packers? Packers only behind by 7 again
11 Jan 00:20 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
Its taken to the last matchup, but we finally have an interesting game! Just about gave up early as it looked like being a blowout, and I want the Packers to go through.

Packers middle D

Three for me, and two for them.

11 Jan 00:45 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
Tied up again, less than 2 to go. I would expect with the time left, Cards should get to field goal range and a chance to win it.
11 Jan 00:48 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
Cards straight up the guts again
11 Jan 00:49 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
and now out wide, took 45 seconds and they are probably in field goal range, with a chance to go closer.
11 Jan 00:51 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
That'll be the game then.

Or not
Buffon II2010-01-11 13:52:40

Three for me, and two for them.

11 Jan 00:53 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
WOW, Cards kicker choked on a 20 odd yard field goal to win it. Pulled it WAAAAAAAAAAY left.
11 Jan 01:01 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
And the Cardinals win on a turnover.
11 Jan 01:02 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
How ironic. A defensive play wins a game with over 90 points between the two sides.

Three for me, and two for them.

11 Jan 01:10 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
wow what a game, gutted the Packers didnt win it in the end, after a fight back like that.
11 Jan 02:53 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
To be honest, I'm happier with having to play the Cards rather than the Pack in the next round.

Very surprised at how the Pats completely bottled it.
11 Jan 04:08 · edited 09 Sep 04:59
Mouth watering prospects in the divisional games... actually only the NFC games. Cards Saints another 90+ point game? And the Vikes up against a form 'Boys team.

Expect to see Colts and Bolts playing for the AFC title. But you never know.

Also, surprised how easily the Pats deep game got shut down, actually their entire offense went missing. Welker that big a piece?

He was Brady's "go to" guy all season but I don't think that was the only reason. Brady had an awful game and that many turnovers will kill you.

The big question for me is whether Flacco can win a game for the Ravens if they come up against a D that can stop their run game. I don't think so personally.

I thought Pats missed Welker big time. Since the Pats don't really have a dominant running game, they use passes on short patterns to Welker as its equivalent, as it can move the chains in short yardage situations, and if you don't stay close enough to him he can hit you for a big gain, and this requires safeties to creep up the field to stop that. This opens up the pass down the field, as you can get Moss in 1-on-1 situaions a bit more easily. Without Welker, the Pats struggled to execute this type of offense. Although the pressure the Ravens got on Brady surprised me a bit, but I also thought Brady sought to hold on to the ball for too long at times.

Looking ahead to the divisional games, I feel quietly confident about the game with the Cards. If Will Smith and the rest of the D-line can put pressure on Warner, he can crumble, and that could open up turnover opportunites for our secondary. Our offense should be able to put up a good number of points on them, since I don't think the Cards D is anything other than average.

Think the Cowboys will take care of Minny, and Indy and San Diego to win their games relatively comfortably.

3/4 guessed right last week. I think the Vikings pass rush will get to Romo so Vikes to get the win (even though I'm not a fan of flip flop Fav-re), Saints to out shoot Cards in the Super dome.

Chargers Jets game intrigues me, I like the Jets pass d, everyone goes on about Revis, they still have other playmakers like Ellis & Bart Scott. And the Chargers run d is only passable.
Still I have to go with the Chargers, even if Vincent Jackson is closed down by Revis. Gates, Floyd & Sproles are all good passing options.

Colts to beat Ravens, Manning and all their receivers just seem like too much for the Ravens to deal with.

Cards @ Saints
Ravens @ Colts
Cowboys @ Vikings
Jets @ Chargers

My picks in bold. Hopefully less blowouts this week.

Three for me, and two for them.

Vikes pass rush is overhyped. If any QB gets pummelled into the ground, it'll be Favre.

Picking Saints v Cowboys and Colts v Chargers for Championship games.

Saints, Colts, Vikings (narrowly) and Jets (my upset) are my picks.

Comfortably taken care of the Cards, 45-14.

First time the NFC Championship game will be played in the Big Easy. Yeah baby.

well 2/2 so far, but these were the two that I thought would be fairly comfortable. Less sure about tomorrows games.
