I'm surprised no one has mentioned this but if you were able to block one or maybe two people, the thread would make no sense to the person reading it as you wouldn't know what people are replying about to the blocked people.

Hope that makes sense

I probably should have just PM'd Hard News on this. Didn't expect a sh*tstorm and 5 pages of discussion. Seems a few people are very touchy about their opinions not being read by others. A bit sad really.

On the other hand, if Yellow Fever is actually just a simulated reality (as in The Truman Show, for example) then you are the only real person here anyway. This particular feature is on another forum I post on. I blocked people who just posted stuff like 'lol' and nothing worthwhile content-wise or just posted way too much. Great idea Piney,I'm all for it and have actually thought similar thoughts...

This (bolded quote above) wouldn't have any effect cos most of what is written by the people I would block has little or no relevance to the topic or thread.

I also scan read and skip multiple posts due to mindless comments posted by a random few that add no value to the football related discussion I sometimes enjoy reading.

In fact, I've pretty much given up posting on here and now mostly just write my own opinions on my fridge....and am not bothered that no-one else reads them or if any of you block what I have to say...

It works on other forums (SYdney for example) but I'm not sure the engine we use will allow it. There might be a patch but we'd probably need Pancakes to sort it.
