State Courts are already looking at this, if things go badly for McCain they'll probably be looking at federal courts as well.

Of course Republicans have been in the desperation mode, but I feel they'll be ready to go ahead with it if McCain loses. The stakes are way too high for the Republicans to let Obama win without firing every single shot they have.

I thought around lunchtime results will start coming in, my mate thinks earlier than that. With key states on both coasts it may be a longish night

Hannity and O'Reily wont have much to do with the fox coverage I dont think, itll be people like Brit Hulme, Van Sustern and Sheppard Smith as well as that attractive blonde girl. Bill and Hannity while fair and balanced are commentators. Karl Rove will be a laugh. Hopefully CNN dont cut away to CNN international at 6, they should stay with Cooper and Blitzer and the like i presume.
RealClearPolitics (great site) has Obama by 138. I think it will be close because Americans are as stupid as we all hope they aren't i think

I don't know maybe overall percentage 54% to Obama and 45% to McCain with the other 1% going to Nader (I think he's running as Independent this time isn't he?).

Was reading up on the Bradley Effect on good old wikipedia and that could be of some benefit to him.

Have to wait and see.

its been longer than 8 years, I'd say most of the presidents have been idiots in recent times anyway - time will tell if Obama is any different,

a huge change in symbolic terms for America

having been a bit young to appreciate the Kennedy era, i hope this phase in US  (and World) history this fulfills  at  least some of the expectations many of us hold tonight

Obama seems to have the charisma and social intelligence of Clinton but with - it seems -  a greater sense of purpose than merely creating a personal place in history

sadly, I expect to feel a tad less at peace with the world on saturday night

as per this article:
Black Man Given Nation's Worst Job

November 5, 2008 |

WASHINGTONAfrican-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation's broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, "It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can't catch a break."

<!--[endif]-->

The key question hanging over Barack Obama's White House credentials has been answered - the Democrat has been revealed to be a West Ham United fan.

As the 46-year-old's campaign to become America's first black president moves into overdrive, Obama has declared his fondness for the Claret and Blues quarter of east London.

According to reports, the US senator has been a fan of the Hammers ever since a trip to England five years ago and watches Premier League games whenever his busy schedule allows.

Lot of people hate him already. Despite the huge margin in electoral college numbers, the popular vote was only 52% to 47% in Obama's favour.

In my eyes, it's really scary that 50+ million Americans voted for McCain and the crazy psycho-bitch from Alaska, but to be honest it doesn't really surprise me.
