Just trying to figure out why India have capitulated. pitch covered in gravel would do it.

THis is so suspect.  Need to be chasing NO MORE than 120.  U know why.

Maybe we drugged their top order during the interval.

Three for me, and two for them.

Another wicket before stumps would be good.  NHpeter2010-11-07 23:17:29

I don't believe for one minute that India would fix it.
Would love to see back of Laxman before end of day.

Apparently he's unfit to bowl (i.e. fat lazy cunt who can't be bothered)

Three for me, and two for them.

match fixing anyone......come on I know it's tough to get those 37 yr old bodies to bat properly after almost 2 days in the field, but please! to bat that poorly is just weak!

I'm not confident of any chase, but anything under 150 is very doable.

Three for me, and two for them.

Highly doubt it - I'm sure I heard some point that during the commentary that Suresh Raina had signed an endorsement deal or contract or something worth $7 million over the next couple of years - so to bribe the entire Indian batting line up team you would need some serious dosh. Otherwise there is not a lot of point in them doing it - unlike the Pakistani team, which is paid a tiny amount by proportion.

To be honest, anything over 150 I'm not convinced we can get. We need to get Laxman early, he is the key in all this.

Steve Davis brain explosion. terrible. Expressions identical on Laxman and Khans face, priceless. If only they were using the review system.

McCullum and Taylor bowling.
This has been one very strange match.

Pretty rapt we haven't been anihilated though.  Will happily take the draw, despite entertaining wild hopes last night...

Must make way for Guptill  now, surely.

Harbahjan top-scored for the Indians during the match...we just can't have that happening...but I guess you could understand it (with the bowlers getting tired).

Still we earned a very credible draw - dug in with the bat, gave them a huge scare in the second-innings.

Regarding McIntosh, it's one thing trying to occupy the crease, but he's a very limited scorer and that creates pressure at the other end. Guptill is a chance for the second test, though he struggled against India back home last year.

Would also love O'Brien back in the side, but that ain't happening.

Still happy with a draw personally... And the fact that we managed to play a whole test without any major batting collapses.
Hooray!

offered a draw before the game we would all have taken it, still at 15-5 its a bit of a case of what might have been

should give us some decent confidence for the next test, when is that btw?

What part of dug in with the bat didn't you understand? We would of drawn even if they hadn't had a top order collapse. Fully earned and deserved draw.

Three for me, and two for them.
