Now for the impending two days of rain

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah, I can just see it. We set them 500 in two days. Get them to 50/2 odd and then it rains for the rest of the test.

It better be good next week. Probably go all five days.

Not injured, his wife is due to give birth to twins. Austin Smellie did save Wellington's arses though, solid debut but he'll be back to club cricket once Nev returns.

Fuck this stupid game

wow, good for Joe though. Not a bad debut, especially facing the likes of Southee

Ohk, right. I see.

Yeah Nevin will take his place back but this will probably be his last season ?

And at 20, he does look like a very good future player.

Yeah my guess is it's his last but who knows. Peter Mcglashan actually lives in Wellington while playing for Northern so it could be an opening for him as well.

Ahh, yeah true, am I right in saying he's been playing the occasional game of club cricket in Wellington as well ?

I've heard that he is but can't remember who for. On another note Mcglashan has taken what, 18 catches in his last two games? Sign him up Gav.

He'd certainly be a good signing. Especially in the T20's and one day stuff.

Speaking of T20's, does Wellington have an overseas 'superstar' signed up for this season ?

And is Fleming playing in the T20's ?

Think he played for Kapiti Old Boys at one point this season aswell.

Yeah he's a good one day/T20 player - last year he hit Mark Gillespie over the score board for two consecutive sixes off the last two balls of the game to win it. Mind you, Gillespie is sh*t.

Yeah Wellington have Owais Shah for the T20's.

Pretty sure last season was Flem's last. Bigger and better things for him now.

He did indeed, and it was a while ago I was told about it, but I think he didn't do too well.

Peter Fulton really is a numpty. Clear he knew he edged it so why then didn't he appeal. Poor stuff.
Permalink Permalink
over 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History
Ridiculous, he walked off giving the umpire the death stare, but didn't appeal the bloody decision.  Vetorri would have been tearing his hair out - does he not want to be in the team?

Well, too poor innings and he could well be out for the next match. Fulton has no reason to complain there. Vettori looked very angry.

Why do we always (for about the last 4 or 5 years) crap out the 3rd innings when batting first?  It happens so often.
Permalink Permalink
over 16 years ago · edited about 5 years ago · History

I think it's either of our innings that is usually poor. Happens so often.

This Wellington ND game is turning into an absolute ripper, looks like Patel could be spinning Welly to victory. The Otago CD game looks like a cracker aswell, CD may well have saved it after having the follow on enforced.

But f**king New Zealand, at least Vettori is in now though

Shane Bond = Legend.

Two stunning catches. Now we can't let these two get away from us.

we really need to get a couple of quick wickets after tea to have a shot.  86 runs isn't much at all to get.

Is it just me or is Ian Smith in need of some Bono glasses with all his squinting?
