'the kids' are either to young to understand it or want to be international cricketers even more.

It's super recruitment PR.

Good on Southee. I swear New Zealand cricket need to lighten up

Manager Dave Currie said claims by another passenger that Southee, 22, indulged in "the worst possible sort of lewd behaviour" with a woman were incorrect, and Southee and the young woman only chatted on the flight from Sydney to Dubai.

What is the worst possible sort of lewd behaviour? Any ideas?

Showing bare ankles or shoulders for starters.

It's then just a short step to gerbils.

Some would say that gerbils are the best possible form of lewd behaviour.

NZ Cricket have pretty much laughed it off. Its the nosy whoever in the next row that appears to have made sh*t up that has caused controversy.

NZC seem to have squashed this pretty well at the moment.

Like I said, they will sweep it under the carpet. I have no doubt that he more than 'chatted' to the woman, and good on him. This won't be the last time he's in the headlines for things outside cricket.

Fuck this stupid game

I;m sure he more than chatted, but equally, i'm sure if it was 'the worst sort of lewd act' and was serious, NZC wouldn't be able to shut it down.

You mean like not making it out the Group Stages? I wouldn't put it past us.

Three for me, and two for them.

pretty comprhensive performance. it is kenya i know but still has to be done and with our track record who knows.

really good for the net run rate aswell

oh and what the f**k is that loud trumpety thing that gets played over the stadium speakers causing the crowd to cheer?

Rigger in the paper (or on CGW, can't remember he's such a media whore) said thathere is no chance that we'll lose to Kenya, Zimmers or Canadia. I definitely agreed at the time- so don't doubt that we'll make it through the group stage. Wouldn't be surprised if we take a win off one of the other big nations as well.

Interesting that we took all today's wickets with our seamers as well. Especially good to see Bennett hitting the deck so hard.

Not taking anything from today's game apart from that there is a huge gulf between us and the Kenyans. And that Tikolo is really quite old.

If you could put up with the IPL it goes over the speakers all the time there as well.

You should be a big Kolkata Knightriders fan like me.

Man's got taste, lacks in the eyebrow department though.

Doesn't surprise me though, I could imagine BMac being some form of bogan god.

Quite funny actually, last ODI at the ROF, had four guys down in front of me, probably three rat-tails and a couple with the odd bleached streaks between them.

Kept screaming out 'yeah Jesse, you're the man' 'go bro, hit it for a sixer'. One of them was telling the other how Jesse could do anything. Was kinda creepy, sort of Eminem/Stan-like. Now Ryder really was being treated like a bogan god.

Personally I thought Jim Davison was Australian, but you seem pretty certain he's not.

If it's the same Davison that used to play for them (smashed 100 in 40ish balls at a WC) then he is certainly Australian.
