Yes I agree, but he was being called 'a giant-killer' when he beat Verdasco who gave up, Querrey who has been rubbish for over a year, and Dolgo who was taken to 5 sets by Greg Jones and Tobias Kamke.

Certainly should be a top-10 player however

Yea, they were decent wins, but hardly giants. Of course, Murray tore him to pieces the other week in Brisbane, so the writing was sort of on the wall against Federer, though he did win a set of Federer last year, which I was hoping he may repeat and make a match of it.Colvinator2012-01-23 15:07:44

Novak is a god.

A tennis god.

Three for me, and two for them.

I'm surprised Nadal won that after the way Fed started. How good is this tennis though. Looking forward to tomorrow night's formality.

After watching this, and about 5 minutes of some women's/shrieking semis (it's all I could manage), seriously, how did the shriekers manage to get equal pay with the men?   The difference in standard, quality, and entertainment value is quite frankly, gigantic.  It's a joke, really.

Get back in the kitchen and cook me some eggs, ladies.  Coz your tennis is sh*t.

On that note, saw a classic tweet yesterday something along the lines of:

'Wondering when it's my turn to be women's world number 1 in tennis...that's how it works right?'

Tricky thing about the "Federer is the greatest player ever" call, is that Nadal consistently beats him. Obviously Federer is a great player, but it is worth noting that he won a bunch of slams just by beating the likes of Henman, Hewitt, and Roddick.

Nadal was looking good last night though. He'll be tough for Murray in the final, and Nadal gets an extra days rest.

As much as it pains me to say this, but Murray will get absolutely slaughtered by the Serb.

Of course he will. Djokovic in 3.

Three for me, and two for them.

Murray in the final colvinator? Have you forgot who he's playing in the semi? Unless I've missed something and Novak has pulled out of the tournament it aint g'na happen.

Fuck this stupid game

Unless Novak's injury pops up then I can't see it. Novak in 4 for me.

Agree with all the equal pay stuff, and add the fact that the men play for longer makes it a bigger joke

Djokovic will have to play better than he did against Ferrer, though it wouldn't be a surprise to see them both step their game up. If Djokovic does have issues with his leg and isn't moving well (like the other day), then I certainly think Murray will win

I think the key question is. Will Novak be able to keep up with Murray. Andy looks far more fitter

That's why I also put xenophobic.

And the UN would say your comment was racist.

Legal

The UN does not define "racism", however it does define "racial discrimination": According to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination,

the term "racial discrimination" shall mean any distinction, exclusion, restriction, or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin that has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life.[12]

This definition does not make any difference between discrimination based on ethnicity and race, in part because the distinction between the two remains debatable among anthropologists.[13] Similarly, in British law the phrase racial group means "any group of people who are defined by reference to their race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin"
