Me too. I have been winning money on those to even though I was covering the win and the draw.  Went for the straight win last night.  That is the one sad thing about us being in second - I can't see the tab offering ridiculously high odds to win and draw from here on out. I didn't necessarily think we would beat Adelaide, but how could you turn down 4.70 with so many of them out!

Tried to log on to TAB yest to back Phoenix and it wouldn't sign me in. Overloaded? Maybe I should sue for lost winnings.

I saw the TAB odds and was tempted, but I'm just restricting myself to the Nix (either winning or drawing - never losing).

Just got all nufc_nz and laid my nads on the line: $2 on the win and $2 on the draw for tomorrow.  If I get the win that's 30c off the next packet of fruit bursts, if I get the draw then I can buy a jumbo size pack.

I put $5 on the win and am now looking at players to score. After Wednesday night I am thinking about Boyd to score but then Wee Mac is also due for a goal so it is a tough call

My bet for the weekend is Burnley to beat QPR @2.20. QPR have been rancid away from home, and although it is highly unlikely that they will lose every away game over the season, I think that an in-form Burnley will be better for the weeks rest and will be too good for them.

Also, with Chelsea smarting after a) being beat by Newcastle a month or so ago, and b) getting humped by Spurs, I can see them beating Newcastle pretty easily. My other bet is Chelsea (-3) @4.33

Had $100 on Australia to beat Kuwait head to head @$1.85. Was nervous at 0 - 1 down.

$2.15 for the handicap (-2.5) on Japan was a big winner. Oh yeah.

South Korea killed me.

Had them on the handicap (-1.5) and with them 1 up at half time I thought I was in for another big payout. Also had money on total goals > 1.5. How on earth there wasn't another goal in the second half I will never know.

Korea had been pretty poor up front for quite a while now.  Historically I remember them for some great midfield play but never as prolific goal scorers.

Really couldn't see them changing that in this tournament and as a result I think they will struggle against Oz and will give China a sniff in for the QF.

A pity really as I really like them and would like to see them get one over Japan.

Glad I didn't bet on the Black Caps to win today!
