not playing with any confidence at the moment! how can you let in 3 tries in 8 mins at the end of any game and expect to win????

Fien released for next season. I think it was going to be either him or Jones.
19 May 10:39 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
it worrys me that they released Fien for the fact Jones wont be there in 2 seasons time imo. I just hope they have another half lined up for 2010

Anyone else heading to the Warriors v Bronco's @ Suncorp at the start of next month? I'll be there with a mix of student supporters so PM me if you want some people to drink with...

Top 8 Baby, We're going to make the 8!

This is what i predict will happen, we win every game from here on but just miss out, lets hope im wrong on the last bit. When are you going up?
19 Jul 07:44 · edited 09 Sep 05:26

August 1st.

19 Jul 11:11 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
Is it still possible for us to make the top 8?
You cant just pick and choose which laws to follow. Sure Id like to tape a baseball game without the express written consent of major league baseball, but thats just not the way it works.-Hank Hill

yes apparently 30 points is really the cut for top 8 we are at 17 with 7 games to go so we could potentially get in with just 6 wins but it will be close

Great result today. Quality boys

Be more interesting to see how Mr Poore is treated after his little "indiscretion' with an unconscious Steve Price in the last SOO game.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

As a lifelong Illawarra supporter who'll be at the game, and as a New South Welshman...

...I'd probably cheer for whichever Warrior smacks him one.

Yet to sort out my tickets, any suggestions? I've never been to Mt Smart before, last Warriors game I went to was in Campbelltown!

Gotta be the East Stand, mate. That's where my seat is. better atmosphere in there. If you want it a bit raucous, I'd go for Lower East Stand Bay 27 or Bay 28. Wouldn't wear a Dragons shirt in there though!

I fully intend to wear my vintage Illawarra Steelers top  Shows where my loyalty truly lies (could care less about Kogarah), and perhaps a bit safer than wering the Red V
22 Jul 05:44 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
when i went i did the silver lounge which was in the east stand with an outdoor seat as well that was quite nice
22 Jul 08:34 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
I'm a student, and I'm far from a fan of lounges  Last Nix season I did the first team games in them, the first in the Players Lounge, second in the Phoenix Lounge. Spent most of it wishing I was in the Fever Zone
22 Jul 09:06 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
Yea true i was in there and must say the crowd were passionate and loud but i guess in your shirt your wearing you might not be welcome , have you been to MT Smart before? i reckon it would be a perfect stadium for the Phoenix if it was in Wellington
22 Jul 09:37 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
I've been there from just walking around Auckland one day (LOTS of downtime that day), but have never attended anything there. Part of the anticipation is adding another stadium to the list
22 Jul 12:24 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
yea it was a bit like that for me

I like Mt Smart, great to watch league at.

Big game for the Tigers today v the Raiders. With the Cowboys going down and the Eels winning, this is really a must win. Fire up Tigerrrssss!

Interesting article about Gareth Ellis on the SMH website today Welly Phoenix, he has added steel to a pack that desparately needed it.
Big game for the Warriors today, they are good enough to win but whether they can put a performance on the field is a different question.
Im watching the Juniors as I write this, all season we have been searching for spark and dear me there is some real spark in this team. Watched Johnson play at Suncorp a couple of weeks ago, all class. As is the 9 and the centre. Will be interesting to see what they do with these guys in the years to come

Has Kevin Locke touched the ball today?

This performance is inept and pathetic, I don't understand how a team who have the signature of a dead team mate on their chests could look so disinterested and motivated. This performance today is an insult to Sonny Fai's memory

that was the worst ive seen the warriors play ever. I must say though i think the Dragons didnt play one of their best games today so i dont know why the warriors were so sh**
26 Jul 06:01 · edited 09 Sep 05:26
They were trying to play us back into form in the second half, giving us so much ball on an absolute platter

yea i think st george may actually win this year unless the warriors make the playoffs which aint going to happen.

This might be of interest to you guys - someone called Carmichael Hunt (sp) will today defect from the Brisbane Broncos and will sign with the AFL's new Gold Coast franchise. kiwi pie2009-07-29 10:14:50

The more I think about it the more I think he could be alright, absolutely fearless player. Great under the high ball, got a good boot on him and not afraid to mix it up.

Not from the highest level. A couple of players from inter state played league as juniors before switching, but never from the NRL.

Here's how Melbourne's broadsheet is reporting it -
