Over the course of the night, on ZB talkback, he's copped a large serve. The point being that he waited until after she left before he started with the cheap shots. And didn't give her an opportunity to respond. He dared not say it to her face and then he went on to despite co workers telling him not to. Apparently there's a few females at TVNZ pretty steamed up about it.

End of the day, he's there to cause controversy, but perhaps he did go a bit too far there...

That said, when Paul's being serious, he is a damn fine journalist/interviewer, I was very impressed at him taking old Kerry Prendaghastly to task yesterday morning on the lady with the leaky home

I think he is pretty funny - "start a group".

That letter when the women said she was reduced to tears by his comments - for f**ks sake.

Here's a thought... DON"T F**KING WATCH HIM!!!

If that/he is the biggest thing at whatever point in time in your life to warrant going out of your way to have a bitch/moan/whinge/tanty then your life can't be going too bluddy bad!... think yourself lucky and move on - quickly... or, build yourself a bridge and jump off it before you have to face a real issue in your life!!!!

(or just press that little button your remote marked '3' it isn't THAT difficult).

Firstly, he humiliated a women in public - he has no class and no I don't watch him on TV but that didn't stop him airing his crassness in the public domain. Your the same age as me and when we grew up in the 70's and I cannot imagine newsreaders of that era ever displaying such a lack of professionalism, if you think it's a good thing to treat people like sh*t in public and in front of thousands of people then I think maybe you have the problem.

If LoneGunmen wants to start a thread protesting about the likes of this man good on him and by your own logic you never had to respond to this thread with your own "wisdom" anyhow.

And what you never moan about anything? Must be nice under your Pipal Tree- please explain how you reached this state of enlightenment?

Where exactly did I agree with, condone, or suggest his actions were good? That is entirely not my point.

My point is that some people need to retain some perspective. If what he did is so abhorrent, and everybody thinks so, then people will switch of and his employer will sack him - 'problem' solved. If it wasn't for reading that article then myself (as I chose not to waste any of my time with TC One's 'breakfast), and doubtless thousands of others, would have carried on throughout the rest of my days blissfully unaware that this woman did, in fact, appear to have a moustache, thereby limiting any unecessary and additional humiliation the like of which she is now being subjected.

The other key point about the 70's is that we would never have had an issue such as this as we never had brekfast telly. or an alternative free to air (or paid) television alternative... nor did we have vehicle such as this to expunge our alternative opinions, thoughts, and attitudes... ahhhhh, those were the days!!!

If LG, or anybody else (including myself) wants to start a thread protesting anybody and anything then I agree, they may - and using this (aka - your) logic, others (including myself) must also have the option to put forward my opinion also, yes? or can I only put my 10 cents in if it matches everybody else's?

And no, I don't moan about about 'anything' I moan about plenty... but I certainly don't moan when some jumped up little dickwad puts his feet in his mouth on television, thereby humiliating a perfectly innocent woman (and countless woman with moustachii across the country). I can find a multitude of issues, events, and occurences to moan about presently, and quite often I do... though in situations like this, I change the channel.

My rant was generalised, and you will note I did not 'attack' LG, Paul Whatsisname, or women with mo's... I was commenting (as I am, according to you, allowed to do), giving my opinion and indulging in a lazy spot of Sunday fishing. You can  agree or disagree - though if you feel the need to criticise me personally, can I politely ask that you bring some clippers with you as my tree needs a bit of a prune.

If you wish to achieve a similar state of enlightenment than I, then all I can suggest is to repeat my own recent experience of serving a twenty day sentence (sorry, admission) within our public health system. Now many of the people involved there have got plenty to 'protest about' but I'll leave that for another day - well, actually, I probably won't.

Thanks, and enjoy the rest of your weekend

I just thought I'd raise the topic as it was all over ZB over the night. And then visited the bloggers site. It might be funny but then I personally wouldn't have taken the piss on a nationwwide TV show. I may well have passed a private comment to fellow workers off air.

I guess the only real problem I have always had with Paul Henry is that he is very quick to dish sh*t out to anyone but he is very poor at receiving it. If you're gonna dish it Paul, take on the chin with as just as much enthusiasm as you dish it.

PS: Surge - You catch any fish? How many and what type?

Looking at the video, he was trying to take it on the chin but his little mate (and the 'voices' in his head - lol) weren't so keen on the idea

Only got one LG... but it was a reasonably good size

That is Hillarious.
I have to upload a picture soon of Tamati Coffee (Dancing with the stars and Breakfast weather reporter) wearing my Nix scarf this morning.
I saw that he was at Parliament this morning and he was complaining about the cold. So on my way to work I popped past and made him wear the scarf for the 8am(Ish) weather report.
If anyone can find a picture from this mornings report it would be awesome.
I got a picture of it too on my phone.
Even Tamati agreed that the Mostachgate was hillarious.

Yup I find it funny to publicly humiliate someone because of a medical condition they have.  That is the peak of comedy genius.

Saw it this morning, thought it was great. Can't understand why people are getting so steamed up, lets face it Paul Henry is a dickhead at times but thats possibly why so many people watch him in the morning and I thought he took Josh Kronfelds comments in good humour.

I don't have a television and only caught my first sight of this Paul Henry yesterday. I was left with one question WHY DO PEOPLE WATCH THIS ******?
....I really don't get it.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

He did a classic this morning. I'm waiting to see how many official complaints TVNZ get. It was hilarious though.

Paul was reading out viewer comments and one was about Gay Winter festivals. "Gays attend the festival and dont leave your mates behind" He burst oput laughing as well as everyone else. I normally can't stand this guy but today he was on form.

I really like how he calls people Losers and bemoans the general state of our Parliament.

Henry of course lost a rural seat whilst standing for National to
Georgina Beyers.

if that don't scream loser what does?

in some regards it's good having him on TV because people can see just how hopeless the far right is. His cheer leading for lowest common denominator polices and thought processes should do his causes more harm than good in the real world.

He did another classic on the same topic, reading a e-mail from a gay skier.  The e-mail read something like this "...gay skiing, don't knock until you've tried it."  Then Paul Henry says "What, skiing?"   Alison Mau rolled her eyes & tried not to laugh.  Sometimes he's quite funny, sometimes he's a dickhead.
