No I have not and very unlikely to.

I was standing on the street waiting for my wife (natch) when MKTO came on my iphone (not literally, obviously).  I realised while listening to it I was nodding my head, tapping my feet and smiling like a wrong 'un.  As I personally think that is what a great pop song should make you do, I am declaring this a great pop song.

This is for the future cougars.....

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

I might be the world's biggest musical snob but I have to agree with FT.

I assume One Direction passed on that song before MKTO got hold of it?

However, in the interests of fairness I will see your 'MKTO - Thank You' and raise you 'The Descendents - Thank You'. Now this is what I call a great pop (punk) song...

Earlier this morning The Spinners "Gungu Walk" popped into my mind - it is a West Indian folk tune (presumably Jamaican)

Apparently there is a Jamaican festival called Gunga Walk.

Here is a different version:

And here is another version:

I have somehow ended up (again) on a Tanita Tikaram playlist (about the one thing I will disagree with Alexei Sayle - he was quite mean about her).

Youtube comments are generally on par with Yahoo and stuff comments but this one made me lol a lot.

I used to knock loads out over Tanita, now having watched this video I going to add to the total xxx cheers Taneets.

Yeah a very good cover. I read somewhere that to cover a VU or Reed song you had to first get permission from the old git himself.

Here's a range of interpretations of "Liquidator" - which was apparently played at a number of UK football grounds back in the day.

1. Original:

2. The Specials:

3. Sly & Robbie:

4. Bad Manners:

("Home of NZ...football")

It is also used as a theme song for one of the National Radio programmes (forget which ... possibly Simon Moreton's "This Way Up"). Probably also on "Death in Paradise".

Most Spike Lee films are great viewing. They adddress some serious social issues whilst also having a touch of humour. Used love watching them in the 90's.

went and saw a band called Bears Den last night at the Brixton Electric, which was decent.  Probably seeing Prince on Monday night (in Birmingham) and then Young the Giant in Islington next Thursday.  Busy times.

Prince should be decent. Hope he plays "while my guitar gently weeps". He does a brilliant version of it.
