I think the rt hon Mayor of the-slightly-aspirated-H-town is best ignored. The utterances are a regular occurrence and just serve to hoist him on his own petard (wish it was not just metaphorical).
Eric Young however is a real piss-off with this outburst.
The opposite (i.e. things that rule) is that we do have two good journos of the written meeja: Fred Woodcock and Tony Smith.

Being told half an hour before my game starts that cricket is cancelled.
