Bus driver not picking up one passenger at bus stop at Ngauranga interchange at 10:50 at night cause he over filled the bus from the Railway station after the cricket.

And stupid idiots after the cricket thinking its funny to throw plastic lids all over the stadium and concourse.  No thought for people who have to clean it up because they're inconsiderate gits.

Holy sh*t yes. Wouldn't have thought so. When they are hovering over your hour they are bloody loud. It's when they shoot the flame up into the balloon. Sounds like a giant roar.

Rubbish by NZ media about England.

Ive had similar things with bus drivers here in hamilton. One day the bus broke down, the bus driver just yelled. "bus is broken down, everybody off, you'll have to walk".

and they all look so bloody angry all the time, used to feel nervous if i was going on with not the exact amount of change.

My fave. I had a driver SCREAM at me "no I don't go there!"  My crime? I asked if the bus went to Seatoun.

More amusingly....  In mid 80s Welly. The driver stopped looked back and then said loudly "oh sh*t!". He then opened door and ran... Me and other passengers, a bit lost, stayed seated until the guy behind me yelled "we're on fire!"....   EEK!!!

Since there is a lot of angst about bus drivers here, I thought I'd provide some feel-good stories.

I don't really use buses very much these days at all, but happened to be on one last week, when an exactly same situation like some of those described above happened - a guy comes on with a $20 note, and the bus driver has no change for it. But rather than kicking him off, the driver told him to take a seat, and that the guy can pay his fare once the driver had enough change for the $20 note. So that guy just sat down clutching the note in his hands, and I got off the bus before I could see whether he actually ended up paying or actually getting a free ride. So guess not all bus drives in Wellington are all that bad.

Bus drivers are people too!

Some are good sorts.  Some are idiots.

The ones on the K-Town routes are mostly good.  There's one who is a friendly chap but sometimes thinks he's driving a Ford or Holden V8.  Makes for an interesting commute...

I remember as a kid, certain bus drivers use to speed down Pirie St after coming out of the Hataitai bus tunnel like they were in the Bathurst 1000 coming down Mt Panorama.

Back on topic. My nazi IT department in all their wisdom has now decided to block the Ticketek website. Went to buy Phoenix ezyticket for Gold Coast game.

Luckily I have a few friends in the IT department who I know go to Nix games and also lots of concerts. Can't see it being blocked for too long but then again, they probably still have access.

I had an instance yesterday where the bus was stopped at the bus stop, with the light red (the st James bus stop is at the crossing lights). He refused to open the door to let me in. .

I thought bus drivers couldn't pick up or drop off customers anywhere except on the designated stop?  Some do it, but the rules state that they don't.

If I am correct (it has happened before), then you swore at someone and gave them the bird for doing their job properly.  Well done.

meh - he had probably pulled away from the stop slightly and was within in rights to ignore you.
I don't know why you didn't just go into the Downtown Local for a few beers while waiting for the next bus to come along.  You get a few pints in, while the driver has to sit at the lights and watch you drinking in his favourite bar - win/win.

The bus was completely on the green area. He shut the door on me,and the light went red.

I would never swear at someone for doing their job. This guy clearly wasn't. I completely understand the red light thing.

But meh.

I didn't watch it all. And I was being a bit churlish because if a research institute had even tried to commercialise the ability to bring dinosaurs back to life, it would have been even more chaotic than what was in the film.

Anyway - I'm suffering now with a few things to do this week when I could have made a start on them last night.

The reasons given in that article are pretty straight forward. Follow the basic rules and you should be OK.
Guess it is called common sense.

Next? Union leader walks off a cliff and all union members follow like sheep, because they wouldn't know any different. I'm sick of being told it's impossible to earn a living wage and that there's no jobs out there. SICK OF IT.
