So do you think NZ was settled peacefully?

No, far from that, but the alternative of the fore said Spanish or Portuguese could have been much much more worse.

I dont think you can compare historical events like forrceful takeovers of countries and say one was worse than the other.

Regardless of how much force or violence was used the bottom line is that the people who were there first ultimately have right to the land and displacing them from their land is wrong.

Actually I think you can (varying degrees of brutality and violence).

But the issue was the statement that NZ was settled peacefully.  Which it clearly wasn't.

The other alternative is one where it didn't include rape, assault, land theft, murder, and destruction.

Yes, I think Mr Key didn't worry about those socialist subjects like history at school and moved straight to economics 101.

The fact that there is a period of our history called "New Zealand Wars" speaks volumes.

Maybe not, but you knew that when your ancestors came here there was a war with the maoris and as they were warriors quite a lot of blood got spilt right?

Just reading, (online so who knows), about the musket wars where Moari butchered each other supplied by those dastardly Brits. Interesting policy selling guns to the natives to wipe each other out - that shit is as old as the hills but I'm guessing it sort of backfired?

Irony. England has beaten Germany twice, both away, but Germany is the economic powerhouse of Europe.

(the last time they met England did well to come from behind and get the win and go 6 pts clear)

football commentators who do not know the laws of the game. Watching the Everton v West Ham game and the bloke has spoken of how a player has raised his hands which is a red card offence. As far as I am aware (and no doubt one of the nerds on here will correct me if I am wrong) there is nothing in the LOTG about raising your hands (only violent conduct). Then later in the game he is talking about how Collins should be sent off for the foul in the build up to Everton's 2nd goal as he was the last man. Again, nothing in the LOTG about the last man, only about denying a goal scoring opportunity - as they scored approximately 3 seconds later, I would suggest that he did not.

As I am typing this, the cunt is still going on about the Collins incident (it is now the 88th minute) and just said that he was denying a goal scoring opportunity. They scored you fucking twat

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
