Just got in from the game. F*****g pathetic performance.

That is all.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Veteran rugby league prop Ruben Wiki today rejected suggestions that he wanted an early release from the New Zealand Warriors, saying he wasn't a quitter.

Wiki, who has been hampered by the recurrence of a rib injury, was a late withdrawal from last Sunday's 38-12 National Rugby League defeat to new competition leaders the Sydney Roosters.

He will be back in action this weekend, not for the Warriors, but for feeder club the Auckland Vulcans

Lance Hohaia, Michael Crockett, Brent Tate, Jerome Ropati, Aidan Kirk, Nathan Fien, Grant Rovelli, Sam Rapira, Ian Henderson, Steve Price (captain), Simon Mannering, Sonny Fai, Micheal Luck (captain). Interchange: Evarn Tuimavave, Epalahame Lauaki, Logan Swann, Russell Packer, Ben Matulino (18th man).

do or die tomorrow night for the warriors, another heavy loss and some players will be playing reserve grade (grant rovelli and michael crockett). they need a halfback, so sell wiki, rovelli(who would want him though) and someone else and buy lockyer or thurston. that would solve all our problems

Looks like those Pacific Drums have not brought the good luck back after all! Just like when the Warriors first started.

Brisbane back Denan Kemp will switch National Rugby League clubs next season, having signed a two-year deal with the New Zealand Warriors

Last night young speed machine Denan Kemp with a club record-equalling fourth try and the Broncos with an astonishing 30-26 victory over the deflated Eels.

Ha Ha. A win on the road at last. It wasn't pretty, but I'll take it

Cleary is a good coach, now if only certain players would do as instructed in the game plan, the Warriors would win, but it appears that once they get out on the field, they do their own thing and don't remember what plan B is, if plan A doesn't work.

Great win on Sat. Its funny how u can determine in the first 5 or 10 mins whether or not "its your day" - the bounce of the ball, the rub of the green, the little signs, calls go your way. It all adds up.

When watching it live it only took about 5 mins to realise that it was the warriors night and almost everything went in their favour which is great coz more often than not, things DONT go the Warriors way across the tasman.

Thought Ah Van, Kirk, Mannering, Luck had really good games. Tate made 3 errors, the one with a minute to go could have been very costly but it wasnt to be.

Good to see Warriors signed up some of the younger players long term, along with Price and McKinnon.

Lookin forward to the first fri nite game at Mt Smart for a while.

I had a 'mare with that game.

Turned on the radio on the way home from the movies and heard Newcastle go in front.  Got home mucked around, turned on the radio to hear the Warriors in front late and then while I listened they went behind again.

I decided at that point I was cursed and turned it off for good.  Sure enough, they came back again and won. Hard News2008-06-04 16:35:01

I can't stand it when we start bagging the coach when the team is losing - what are we English football fans??? Cleary is a smart coach and has a good staff behind him, a lot of those loses have can be attributed to poor defensive efforts by the players, its not Cleary's fault that our guys are falling off the tackles due to poor technique, I'm pretty sure they aren't trained to miss tackles or drop the ball.

Half time 18-14 to Souths

Not very good going from 14-0 up to 18-14 down at half time against the bottom side

all over 35-28 souths, first time they win in 13 games against the warriors

Kicking game was the difference, souths 5-6 goal kicks, warriors 2-6 goal kicks,  credit to souths they did well to come back twice, thier new halfback played well

First twenty minutes was great, then the wheels fell off. Not the best Friday night I've spent at Mt Smart Stadium.

As per normal, they get a lead, they get cocky and they get undone! That's been their problem since year one. As soon as they either start losing a lead or go behind, they drop their nuts.

Not the coaches fault, the players attitude is the problem. they have the talent but they are believing their own publicity.

that helps but they also need to learn that to win games you need to tackle, that try from the line drop-out was horrible

Hugh McGahan in the herald this morn

Currently missing is the killer instinct. The ability to put teams away when you have them on the rack is the difference between good teams and very good teams. The ability to do it consistently defines a great team and, unfortunately, the Warriors are lacking in that category.

Without being outstanding, their control was due to ball retention and playing smarter football and better vision. Then, within the blink of an eye and with no apparent turning point, the Rabbitohs transformed the Warriors into a team that resembled one playing away from Mt Smart.

Comically, the transformation happened twice more before the final whistle and we were all left wondering what had happened and how the Warriors lost

Clearly we are missing Vatuvei, but I think we need to strengthen the defence, some of our tackling over the last few weeks has been terrible.

tend to agree with theprof, when u have (easily) the worst defensive record in the comp, something HAS to be done about it. 52 missed tackles (vs Souths) is simply unacceptable and embarrassing, but credit to Souths for the way they fought back. scoring points doesnt really seem to be a problem, its just leaking points.

Next game vs Sharks this sat, they seem to be in pretty good form.
