Crap website caught you out there.

Having to open every grade to find a game to watch is just a joke. I guess the idiots at Capital Football think everybody else has as much time to waste as them.

How many teams do you play for?

Whats that got to do with it?

Do you not support the rest of your club????

This is what our above posts were addressing for you.
Though it seems now you're changing tact so that you can keep moaning.

Yeah nightz, I think the prob here is that you don't know how to use the site correctly.

It does everything the old site used to, just does it differently.

And it's ugly as sin

But as has been pointed out, we all have NZF to thank.

Smithy, I'm very aware of how it works thanks.

I'm also aware that NZF and Capital Football (and prob yourself and Tegal) have now idea who else besides the players try to use the website and find it dam near impossible to "easily" find the info they are looking for. (maybe why Fenix has asked their question above).

Nightz your post #143 was just you having a go at me.

Maybe you don't know how to use this website properly either?

Yeah Nightz your original complaint was in post #121 - and was that you had to open "every grade" to find a game to watch.

As some helpful folks on the forum have just shown you, this is not the case. You simply have to pick your favourite club (whichever one it is this week) and you can get an up to date and fully correct list of all their fixtures.

No need to cross reference the draw with a list of cancellations like you used to in the old days.

Piece of cake.

Smithy, dont be so paraniod.

Smithy, Blew, Tegal learn how to read.

Smithy, If you are going to quote someone (my post #121) at least try to get it right please.

Im sorry, I don't know what I'm supposed to have misread. We quoted exactly what you said, and our subsequent posts helped you out with what you had an issue with.

You seem to have since changed what your issue with the website is, without actually stating what the new issue you have with it is.

I feel so sorry for you. I guess you'll just blame todays education system on your inability to understand what you have just read.

"Having to open every grade to find a game to watch is just a joke"

If you meant at a specific ground - you'd go to the ground page.

If you wanted to watch choose a game from a club - you'd go to the club page.

If you did only want a certain grade, you'd just go to grade page.

In any case you don't have to open every grade to find a game.

I'm convinced I haven't misread anything actually, you've just been caught out and have resorted to abuse instead of admitting you made a mistake and thanking those who saved you dozens of mouse clicks.

FWIW, as someone who has gone through "todays education system" and supposedly has an "inability to understand" because of it, I think tegal perfectly solved nightz's complaint. Yes, the site is more than a little bit unintuitive (I didn't even know that we could view reports like that), but it's fantastic that the functionality is still there. There's nothing wrong with not knowing how to use that crap UI nightz, but I don't understand why you insulted people who were actually helping you.

Life is about maximising the fun, when can't walk you look for fun in other places! Enjoy life, it will catch up with you to quickly or it will be over.  My brain is fry'd, school never teaches you what life needs you to know.

But school teaches you to look up rude words in foreign language dictionaries (if you study a foreign language).

This is both enjoyable and a useful life skill.

CF pinned an article to the top of the page on Fridays advising where to find the cancellations.  This would be the best place to look.

However, if you now look at the CF page, in the green menu on the main page the second last item is cancellations.

How about we all move on now

I havent abused you at all Tegal. Ive only pointed out the obvious. Sorry if youve taken the fact that you cant read to be abuse and I will apologise to you for that.

The facts are still the facts though Tegal and you havent caught me out and I havent made a mistake. I have know need to thank you for "saving me dozens of mouse clicks" as "I" personally know how the site works. Just because the minority can work the site doesnt make it good. It should be easier for joe public to use.

Try reading some of what Fenix and Kakky posted and than read post #143. You may get a clearer understanding of why the sites a dog.

While pointing out you think someone has difficulty reading fella, you might want to use the right no!
Summary:
Website tells you everything you need to know
It can be a little difficult to find
It would cost big bucks to develop something Tailor made with all the whistles and bells
Football does not have the money to do so.

Now move along!

as an average joe who uses the cf site every week, I agree with all those who have given you options nightz, the site is ugly as someone's mother, but useable if you spend 10 minutes to find the page(s) you want to view, make them shortcuts or faves and then the info updates weekly. If you can't manage that then perhaps it is you who is struggling to understand basic instructions????

But surely not with so many artificials able to hold five games a day... Actually on that note I heard the one at Alex Moore is finished, anyone know when it'll official open?

it would be stupid to cut up all the grounds so early in the season so i think cancellations might be a good thing…..
but the grounds were extremely dry last week and if the water has not socked in too much and we get some wind they might be just right on the day

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

dry would mean compact soil and poor grass growth -so yeah might not be ideal given the continuing rain

Seems most grades are now 'postponed'...

Permalink Permalink

Not most, just some. Other grades are being transferred to the pitches vacated by the postponed grades.
