Cap 2 2013

Time to just man up and deal with it Villa. We've been up against this for the past several years at Naenae and it just one of the harder sides of being a small club in leagues that have teams with other teams in grades above. You can't do anything about it and I would be greatly surprised if UH done anything against the regulations as I don't believe they'd be silly enough to drop more players than they were allowed for that weekend. All you can hope for is that when it comes time to play these teams that their first team is playing away somewhere on a pitch far away from your game!

I didn't say anything about your supporters at all there did I, they can say and do want they like have no problem with that, was just the attitude of your players that was a let down, so your trying to tell me that pedro, parker, Stephen the guy Henderson the Spanish reserve that came on and 1 or 2 others are all classed as cap 2 players shesh you guys are gonna be unbeatable for the rest of the league if that's the case

I would suggest you read the rules before casting aspertions. When was the last time Pedro got on the Park at CL level, same for Richie Henderson? Aside from that three  players are allowed to be dropped down. Steven plays mainly in a reserve basis for the firsts. Jean-Carlos has just arrived in the country in last few weeks and has had 1 CL game and is in need of gametime for match fitness. Parker is the third regraded player. How do you propose players get game time if they can not play down a team when a CL squad is usually around 18 players?  Add to this the fact UH are desperate to have reserve team playing a higher league.
This is nothing new and many of us have been on the end of it over many years. Suck it up and move on

Is Stephen the guy Henderson a wrestler?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

watched the game and just like to point something out:

Pedro (1st team coach) scored 4

Stephen Thomas (1st team reserve) scored 2

Parker Maher (1st team starter) scored 1

new Spanish striker (new 1st team player) scored 2

and only 2 goals were scored by actual 2dn team players that play for them week in week out, so don't take the result to heart villa, yous played well enough not to deserve that scoreline

It won't be the last time it happens this season. UH first team are pretty much safe in CL so they will be stacking for promo. It is what it is, has happened for a long time and won't change because it's all within the rules.

Fuck this stupid game

cheers fuzz yeah was pretty disheartening but I guess all we can do is pick up the bottom lip and move on, will be interesting to see how there results go for rest of season with a team like that cant see anyone in our league getting close

That's one way to forget about a 11-1 loss. Well done Villa on the 9 nil win yesterday.

cheers dougie, its good 2 see a team succeed well under their own merit. If i played for a big club who cared more about getting promoted than the guys actually out there representing them and paying their hard earned cash as subs i'd tell them to get f#@&ed.

Heard that DV have put a complaint in to CF regarding regarded players from the defeat against UH, that’s going to be a waste of club funds.

well in all fairness your team that played us should quite easily win the league, would be a surprise if you don't, as for the complaint I guess if you call $100 for peace of mind a waste of money then maybe it is but we don't see it that way

Still had to resort to the 1 x 1st bench player..... Enough said.

If the Villa club think the rules have been broken, then is it not in their best interests to pay the 100 dollars and go for the protest? It could make all the difference between promotion/staying where you are. I would do the same thing for my club team if the rules are broken. Everyone pays big money to play Capital federation leagues, and should get a fair run. They have every right to protest, if they want to.

I think the point trying to be made is that everyone does it, and to what degree does each team know each other team to actually figure out it has been done. It's a hard league without outside influences changing the games altogether.

We have a same shit that happens locally, and really it's about the footy and enjoying yourselves.

Fair shout. Back to the football. Any match reports from the weekend? Who predicted Wests would take over from Island Bay in first place? Can anyone see them giving up top spot with 6 games to play? Who has the goods and who are the pretenders?

Looks like a lot of cancellations for the weekend but Cap2 is going ahead.
Any thoughts on the round? Stop Out to bolster their squad with the full alotment of First Teamers for the trip up the line to Upper Hutt? DV will rate their chances against last place United.

Im thinking that there will be some upsets in this weeks round..........lots of regrading from the higher league players so they get there game time.

Permalink Permalink

Fair call but im sure your
guys had the conversation with the UH boys after the game! I don’t think they
would chance dropping 3 points on the re-grading rule. It’s going to be an interesting
day to day with all but Cap 2 and CL cancelled.
