We drew positions our of a hat with the expected results.

Our 3-0-7 formation added to the quality.

Incidentally, if anyone from Seatoun is here, you didn't accidentally pick up our match ball did you ?  It seems to have disappeared and is worth a bit of money.

So is that it for Capital 16 for the season?
Permalink Permalink
over 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
We believe so.  Bun1 from the Pints rang Cap football and they said game over.

We've got a game against our Masters this Saturday, then Welly masters the following week, plus Max was talking about us playing Wharfies U21s.

Nighthawks vs Slayers friendly at some stage ?

Could do.  Will just have to see what is happening with the European transfer market.  We may lose key players with that.

Also if the season is over, we will go into pre-season training for 2011 pretty much immediately so organising dates could be tricky.  In saying that, we do like to give our players at least one week off at the end of the season before pre-season.

We are anticipating being promoted into a new Grade 17 (or Champions League) next year so will want to hit that running.

Nighthawks logo, numbers.  Names will be up to individuals.  Most want to own theirs rather than the club so might need to get a few more.  Some ex-Nighthawks keen as well.

the bombers may have to get our own too, sounds like the club isn't forthcoming with some new kit.
also finished off the season with a 6-1 win over Wellington Indian Sports, B-rad got 5 and the assist for the other. He did not shout beers after

Naenae Nighthawks v. Karori U21's

Sunday 18th. 9:00am at Nairnville Artificial.

Chances are our numbers will be down. So maybe a smaller sided game. We will see on the day though.

Ex-Nighthawk Stefan Alletson is readying himself to face off against his old Club and team members David Cross, Andrew Green, Marc Cramer & Shaun Gillespie this Sunday in Wellington. After making an inflamitory statement at the end of the 2009 Football season, He is keen to make good on some of the promises he made himself and juistify some insults he threw around.
Karori U21's finished in 3rd place after a season of mixed results.
While the Nighthawks gained promotion from Cap 16A.
This match will be a good indication of the difference in skill Level between the two leagues.
You can catch the game at 9am Sunday the 19th at the Nairnville Artificial turf.

Consider this a grudge match boys.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Stefan for organising the game.

I'd also like to thank him for being beaten by a bunch of old farts and a kid........cosmo2010-09-19 16:09:09
