Should be an interesting league this year, douglas villa will prob be hoping for promotion like the other two 1st teams that were in the league last year.

Yep Id say DV would be disappointed with anything less. I thought they were one of the better teams last season.

Ill let you know on Saturday evening once we've found Mazengarb. That must be an away game for them as well. Where in Paekak would they play?
A shame the Ancient Ones wouldn't make the step up from Div.4

I am pretty sure they play at campbell park. And a source that I know who plays in the team informs me they are pretty handy

Paekak would definitely play at Campbell park. Mazengarb is in Paraparaumu, pretty much across the road from P'ram College.

Going on last years standings, how does everyone think the standings will end up this season? CAPITAL 3 2010:

Well I know Paekakariki have a few players from the KCU side last year that got relegated from prems so could be a good side maybe the dark horse of capital 3

It's basically a break away KCU team playing under the Paekakariki banner. The Paekak club itself has bugger all to do with them, hence them playing at Mazengarb. They'll do well as long as they can get 11 players on the pitch week in, week out.

Foxy, didn't it take you 2 - 3 years to set back up to cap 3. Be good to see you out there again.

Yes very nice but need 5 match balls due to road and beach being so close.

5 match balls needed at Mazengarb also or a hedge trimmer or a bigger stick. Plus sunglasses for their new kit. Not that mighty though, GK feinted at the thought of kicking off against us.

Fact, sunglasses needed! I think he said something about feeling sick because one of the Petone lads smelt real bad when they ran past.... Outfield player in goal ha ha lucky Petone were only in the Paekakariki half 8 times...!

Yes quite true! Lucky we only had 2 shots all game.

Murdered us 5-2 the other weekend but they have been playing Hilton Petone and training for the past 2 months. I see they put you on number 1 as well so they must be expecting a good game.

looks like all Marists pre-season fitness training hasn't done much for them

No fitness training can prepare you for facing Schmitty.

Karori 1-0 Marist

In balmy conditions the first half was an evenly fought contest and there was a deserved share of the spoils at the break.

However with around half an hour to go the hosts broke the deadlock, with a lobbed effort, from about 25 yards. Despite throwing the kitchen sink at the Magpies, Marist were unable to show enough composure in front of goal.

Special mention to Karori Park as it was like a bowling green.

Predictions for this week???

I'd guess at wins for both Petone Teams this weekend. 3rds are on the edge of their seats waiting for some 2nd team players to be dropped from the squad of 44. Sorry Paekak, Armanis are already blind with cataracts to be affected by the brightness of your kit.

After picking 0/5 in round one, my predictions can only get better!

Marist hoping to get the promotion chase back on track tomorrow v Douglas Villa! Cant wait to get out onto Kilbirnie again ! We only played there 3 times i think last season, due to the weather and the state of the pitch....hopefully we get a few more outing this season. 

the cricket pitch is a shocker. Hopefully this rain has moistened it a bit. Can't say I'm looking forward to playing on it tomorrow.
