yeah our seconds are abysmal this year, lost a lot of players and heaps have gone down to play for our new capital 9 team, a bit BS really, the guys in our cap 5 team are all new bar 2 or 3 older heads, and should really be in capital 9 and the team in capital 9 should be in cap 5... not surprised at all with the result really

Ah ok, to their credit they had a good second half. Always takes time for a new team to gel.

yeah, they are all really new so will take a few games for them to find their feet, definitely won't be as competitive as last years team though, some not bad players in there though so hopefully can make some results happen

I'm told they're quite a different team this season.

Thats a bit unfair SinZ. He wouldn't of recognised them with 11 players when last year they only had 8.

Huh? I was told in another thread that they've got a stronger line-up this year - that's all I meant. Or have I missed a joke?

Assuming you don't mean my tongue-in-cheek first line...

they are better this year, hes saying no one would or reconised them last year when they got smashed in cap 4 as they had about 8 players, most went on and also made a cap 13 team aswell afterwards, this year wainui 2nds is trying to be serious with a squad not fill in FC.

Whats the state of Richard Prouse park after last weekend?? Havent played there for a season or two. From memory it was a bit of a bog with some rain.
Permalink Permalink
almost 18 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
We played a 2:30 on the number two and it was in great nick. Pretty firm despite it chucking it down all match.

Each pitch had just the one match on it as well so they didn't get hammered.  Depending how much more rain they get this week they should be fine.

How's my driving? - Whine here

only played a training game and friendly game on #3 which is probley better then #2, was a bit hard underneath but has had some rain since, ground is fine to train on, only problem is the grass is a bit long could realy do with a good quality cut which they are  looking into

Watch out for the sprinkler heads on number 2. I got a nasty injury from one of those several years back.

Come on guys, I have not been to many of your games this season but you have to as teams up the grade of your home team referees. This grade has some geart players who deserve some ref's who know the current rule not the rules when they played.

Hay your commets if you disagree, as football has to be the winner.

I agree - too many beers.  But the standard of the home teams supplied ref - appears pretty poor- It provokes some physical tackles after they let to many ilegal tackles go early in the games.

Ah, yeah I agree, refs have to set the benchmark early. Neutral refs that wellington football serve up are generally completely the opposite (like a game of Netball). A middle ground needs to be found.

By the way, players have also a responsibility to play by the rules.
