We scored all the goals in the game too. 3-0 up early on, and then our centre-back smashed one of their crosses into the top-corner. Great finish, pity it was on the wrong end.

Could have scored more but for some fantastic keeping from their custodian.

Sealords fastest ever goal. Aaron McCash, 17 seconds!

thats one way of getting your post rate up!

another is to reply to yourself!

Well done Sealords- how'd you find the Terrace, they can be quite physical at the back
Yea they had sum guy at right back who was too slow to do anything so hacked or at least attempted to hack you down everytime you got round him. He also wacked one of our guys flush in face with a swinging arm. Don't think they quite understand the offside rule either. You don't get an offside just cos your too slow.

You reckon?  I was pretty dark we lost points to be honest.  Any time you have a lead you've gotta back yourself to hold on, and any time the opposition claws that goal back it definitely feels like a loss.

Scrappy 5-2 win for us today in pretty difficult conditions. The wind was a very significant factor, and all the bumps on the pitch made decent football very difficult.

I had a stunner though, scored a classy own goal and then managed to fall flat on my face in the second half and gobble up a mouthful of dirt...And now I look like Frank Ribery...

Yip it's a damn interesting grade!

Massive upset with Inter going down to Terrace, you've got to wonder if Marist had some players out because that is an absolute hiding!
Ah well, we've got them next week so hopefully we don't get any back lash.

Very scrappy 3-2 win for us, their ref was an ABSOLUTE shocker.  They were 1 nil up thanks to a 20 metre offside goal.

We faught back and got to 2 -1 thanks to a couple of great goals, only for them to get one back again from a lucky lob over our keeper.  At this stage their ref was just making sh*t up and even Stop Out were embarrased with the sh*t he was coming up with.

And just to complete a greatly farcical game we scored off a 30 metre hack while their keeper was down in the box.  Ah well we'll take the points, and onto next week to continue the climb!

Yeah its certainly going to be an exciting second half of the season. Big game between uni and marists this weekend. A draw would be nice.

wow, upset of the round has to be the sealords losing to petone dreamers nice job petone.I see you guys had a good win too there el grapadura well done.have to say stop out are a bloody good side and the score line certainly doesn't reflect the game.

Thanks G.

Was a hard fought game with you boys and thought the scoreline was a bit rough on us although full credit to the team that takes their chances! Your keeper is an absolute legend I must say, is he like that every week or was that a oneoff??? A couple of his saves were Gordon Banks like, not to mention the time he came flying out for a cross he was never entitled to take and casually stuck one arm out under pressure and somehow the ball stuck!

Was a game played in good spirit though and look forward to playing you guys out in the hutt later in the season.

Glad to see the Sealords dropped points   looks like Marist are getting away at the top so could be a scrap for 2nd for the rest of us.........

PS . Whats with the state of nairnville park? Absolute bog despite hardly any rain throughout the week

Hmmm....

Very long season! I can see there will be a few more twists and turns before this seasons finished!

Hahaha why give them hints that comments like that just spur us young bucks on... It was a much better reverse fixture Vs the Dreamers last week though - cant believe they are not higher, they have looked good in both games against us and their keeper single handedly won them the first game!

What is up with the draw? We are yet to play fierce Cap 8 rivals Stop Out at all...Would be mint to have a Sat-Mon double header later in the season

yeah I know, where are our games against Stop Out? Those will be epic...

I'd also prefer to see a Marist vs. Uni draw. Hopefully 0-0 as that would dent both teams' goal scoring confidence.

Weather looking pretty grey today... hope the rain can hold off and we can get some soccer played tomorrow. but not in conditions like it was against the Dreamers last weekend. Massive wing going straight down the ground. The team going with the wind dominated territory. I'm pretty sure at one stage we spent 15 minutes at the start of the second half camped in the Dreamers half...

Yeah we haven't played the Dreamers yet either.  It's because of the weekend we got cancelled.  No doubt to be made up at the end of the season (Including your game against Stop Out).

Comfy 4-1 win for us over WU Elite (should have been 5, but our ref inexplicably ruled out a goal from a free kick claiming it was indirect for some reason).

Into the top 3 now...

Big game this week at Karori park. Wats with it being on the number 3. Surely should be the feature match on the number 1 . Although in saying that the number 3 is probably in better condition. I have a feeling it's going to be a hell of a lot tighter game than the first round derby match.

Sweet revenge for the Magpies after the hammering we received from the Sealords in the first round.
The scoreline wasn't anywhere near as emphatic, but we'll gladly take the points...

Wow, Cap 7 turned upside-down on Saturday with every single match providing an upset. As for us (Sealords), we couldn't string two consecutive f-ing passes together. One of our worst performances, and after a goal to Magpies in the first 5 mins it turned into a very average midfield battle.

Their right-winger (no.8?) was surprisingly good. Would have created a goal from nothing within his own half but for our marquee superstar racing back in cover defence.

Only one point off the lead, and Magpies are sure to slip up before the end of season. :)
