To be fair, that was from the club. I would hope for something more like that from CF.

When they are scheduling games at 8.20pm, the lights turning off at 10pm is cutting it very very fine. 10.15pm would be a much better option.

In the game between Nighthawks and Salmon last season at Petone Artificial, the lights went out literally one second (not exaggerating this at all) after I blew the full time whistle.

They need to start matches earlier. Last game at Wakefield Kicks off at 7.40 which is bad enough. Playing until 10.15 is bloody riddiculous.

Got this forwarded onto me tonight. Seems there has been a few complaints and obviously they were going off to early.

Good to see its been sorted quickly

Hi All,

Thank you very much for the emails regarding the lights at Petone.  If Capital Football isn't aware of any issues we can get them fixed.

This week has been the first were complaints have been received regarding the lights.  The technician has been and the issue has been rectified.

Regards
Jamie

Cool, yeah. Think my mate got the same response to his email. That's good. Hopefully no more of that for any teams.

In the battle of the Hawks, Petone Hawk Wasps shared the spoils with Naenae Nighthawks in a 4-4 thriller, with Naenae levelling in the last couple of minutes from a back post header off a free kick. I would say Petone had more chances, but Naenae were clinical (including one 30 yard chip) and perhaps having a gigantic squad helped them over the finish line.

Sorry I couldn't be there. Been laid up crook all weekend, only just coming back.

Sounds like I missed a cracker.

Yeah, I think we weren't expecting Naenae to be as up for it as they were. Took the team by surprise.

1-0

2-0 Naenae

2-1

Half time

3-1 Naenae

3-2

3-3

3-4 Petone

4-4

Certainly was a cracker!

I'm claiming that it was my managerial skills to drag a DM and put on a striker when we went down to 4-3 that earned the point, even though that probably had nothing to do with it.

Haha, claim away!

I'm blaming my brother-in-law who was reffing for giving you guys the (deserved) free kick in the final minutes.

Was a certainly a great game to be involved in, that is for sure. Perhaps our large sqaud got us over the line. Draw was a fair result. You guys definitley had more chances though, and played very well
