"Olympic could cause upset if they for once in their club history manage not to get at least one player a game sent off."  OLympic had a player sent off on thier 50th anniversary, so I guess that answers that question...

Nomad, Marist should be thanking your keeper for keeping you in the match... JohnnyCash2009-05-10 08:47:12

Don't worry Johnny I told them that already... cause I am the keeper, and I am a big giant egotist

Cheap Irish sods tried to make me pay, but that's just the Irish for ya.

Me and the IB keepa caught up at a party and had a good laugh about how great we were, the Marist strikers just sort of sulked haha

Stu's injured at the mo!

And I think we were feeling it, you are right we have some class strikers, they just need to pull that trigger, get a goal, and hopefully they'll come. We'll just whip WU next week good and proper

Wellington United 0 - 0 Marist. Fair result. Both coaches are nuts... Gotta love the passion, I suppose.

Got any other results?  Capital Football have had a meltdown.

Wharfies smashed Wainui, who had a man sent off for the second week in a row.  Brodie Wilson with a hat trick.

We took three points off BNU at Wakefield.  3-2.

That might be it actually.  North Wellington have Cup today, so don't play.  Stokes Valley double up against BNU today in the Valley.

Is that the lot?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Olympic bet IB 3-1

Does that mean after our third nil all draw, we are still top of the table?

im pretty sure bnu still has a game in hand v SV (so have actually played 7, won 3, drawn 2, lost 2). so potentially on 14 from 8 games, which would close things up even further at the top.

SV played BNU last weekend(on the sunday after the Chatham Cup games) and spanked them 4 or 5 to 1, Their game in hand is vs North Wellington - for some reason the result wasnt put up on the capital football website

It was 1 from 7, then yesterday, well yeah not our best performance, the first goal was an all round blow out, followed by an ok finish. And the 2nd was a no look first time volley, in off the post.

During that time we had manages to miss 2 tap ins from within the 6 yard box.

So 3 games with no goals scored, bah, I don't wanna get grumpy, but we were due to be beaten, because we just aren't scoring goals... see previous posts

That result makes the league crazy... sorry we couldn't peg back Olympic to make it even more so

All round a terrible game by Marist (and mostly myself in goal, can basically claim both goals, and put our center back in hospital... should of stayed in bed!)

Jesus, losing to BNU now seems even more ridiculous

Thank you IBU though, what a result, the league still can't be split up... although SV looking like claiming last place.

2-0 over SV today, hate to say it, but they just dont have any desire, too many individuals. Big fall from last year

Yay Marist scoring after a month without though!

The League of Death.

But that's only because of the grounds you play on. Melrose, Wakefield x 3, Alex Moore, Karori Park, Kilbirnie, that place in Stokes Valley whatever it's called, Petone Memorial # 15.
Everybody must look  forward to the away trip to Wainui just to play on a decent park.
It's enough to get relegated on purpose.

Ha.

I started a post arguing with you Sinus, but ran out of steam pretty quickly.

All I can say is that Petone always play their home games on 1 or 2, which are both in good nick, and we managed to negotiate with Olympic and Capital Football to play on Newtown 1 on Sunday instead of Wakefield.

Otherwise you're right, the grounds are arse.

Kilbirnie, Wakefield (three times - BNU, IBU, Olympic), Delaney, Alex Moore, Wilton/Ben Burn/Karori 1.  It's a what's what of Wellington's most minging grounds.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
