What Mullet said was correct. Our number 11 is Graham Essel. He played sweeper for most of the season up until the last 3 games. He scored 1 goal in both games against both the Uni teams & set up a few others to.

So 12pm at Endeavour for our playoff. Should be in better condition than good old bumpy Crawford Green was on Saturday. Can't wait!!!

Ditto what Nakisponge said, was a good even game in the first round and am looking forward to Sat and a decent tough match. Hard luck to you guys on the relegation, hopefully u can come straight back up next year, good luck to Tawa on Sat as well

I'm looking forward to the Stop Out game too after suffering a heinous knock out in the first round game. Until the knock out I was enjoying some good natured banter with the strikers and it was a good even contest. So I'm looking forward to a good game and a beer or two with the Stop Out lads after the game.
Sad to see Stop Out go down, not least because they have the nicest playing surface in our league...

I really enjoyed the game on Saturday at Crawford Green. Tawa came there to win, and we wanted to finish the season off with a win as well and go through the whoel second round undefeated!

The worst thing about it was that the Ref never turned up!

What a joke, Tawa were right, the game was too important not to have a proper ref! Still cant beleive it, then the Ref assesor said he didnt want to ref!!!

But he finally agreed and took the field at 2.45pm!

The game was played in good spirits, and chances to both sides. Tawa were very unlucky the first round we played them, after we stole a win!

We scored a good goal from a corner, our new Brazilian Signing! Tawa nicked a goal in 1st half injury time.

Second half was pretty even and both had chances..

The ref (assesor) lost it a bit at the end of the game, and sent the Tawa player off, and they scored the winner 2 minutes into injury time. But fairs fair, they deserve to go up. They played the best football of any of the teams we have played... and in fact most of my boys sighed with relief that we were not going to play in Cap 1.

That league is too high for us, we need a few more younger guys in our team before we try that league, a big difference as Island Bay have found out.

Good Luck to Mirimar, and best of luck to Tawa in the play off, i'll be there watching! cheering you on!

dissapointed with Seatoun and Stop Out, considering they are the 1st and 2nd Teams for their clubs!

See most of you all next year, where i will hopefully take the field again up front after having this season off with a broken leg and ankle!

Good luck over the summer and may see some of you at the Wellington and Hawkes Bay Masters!

Go the Phoenix... Go Southend Utd.. and Go the All Whites in the Qualifier!

Island Bay 5 Tawa 2 in the playoff today

any idea how many players island bay had regraded?

lucky tawa 1st team still have more games, else it could have been an 8-1 spanking like the cap prem
