Also, he gave them the wrong Chatham Cup too. The final in 1996 was: Waitakere City 3 Mt Wellington 1.

There are still vacancies at Park Life.  He could be Editor in Chief.  He's overqualified.

A Team if you have convinced Baz to play for the Mar by threatening to put dead rats in his room then there are going to be some seriously pissed off Petone boys out there.

It'll teach em for putting Baz (and Karlos) in their squad lists without asking them.

I see there is a Jarrod Smith in the Lower Hutt squad. Is that the Jarrod Smith? I.e.the Seattle Sounder, ex-Toronto and All White player. If so, how does that work or has been axed from the Sounders?
Or is there another J Smith out there?

Lower Hutt won 2-0 over wellington. Just about deserved the win. Must say that corales is a good player but he can scream when tackled after a tackle he was screaming.

Olympic v Petone nil all. Plenty of chances at the end. Raf, Mickey Mal, Jimmy green boots all should have stitched one. Down the other end Nutting was having trouble when the crosses came in. Banners some good saves. Churchie made a good impact when he came on.

Wests stuffed Popes by about seven apparently

Jarred Smith from wainui... young boy who's previous clubs aren't quite as impressive.

How can you say that when they couldn't even beat last years Premier League runner up (Tawa) in the Hilton Petone?

To be honest at least they made the final.
They also just  beat Miramar 3-2 in a pre season game.
Jimmys cut down on the dax now so he can header the ball pretty well now. Himself and miki will be our top goal scorers with Raf playing a vital role in the team. Class player.

Yes I know this is only a pre season game and no I am not getting excited however this shows
we do have the potential and finally the depth to perhaps actually compete for the number 1 spot in the Central League.

I still believe Miramar will be favourites and I dont see why everyones rating Wests to win it??

I believe Miramar, Olympic and Lower Hutt are the top teams.

have you seen the light yet?

Wests were pretty impressive. Knocked the ball around confidently and beautifully. Should have been two up early on after being gifted a woeful backpass, and then a woeful clearance from the keeper. Despite this, they were 2-0 up at half time without having to work too hard. The second half was men against boys, and Feld finished two solo breakaways with class. Then the subs came on (Theron and Tabali) and were simply too good, scoring three great goals between them. Chettleburgh was excelllent throughout. Wests defence wasnt always as dominant, but it will take a better side than Palmie North to trouble them.

How can you lead 3-1 after being 2-1 down?

So its YOU writing for the Wairarapa Times!

What happened on Lower Hutts bench yesterday? Was anyone there that can tell us the full story?

Some substitutions were made, drink bottles were exchanged, and bibs were worn, and a couple of injuries may have been treated.

It was unbelievable!

That was Admir Balicevac - got told he was on the bench at the start of the game and threw his toys out of the cot. Didnt even end up being on the bench, saw him sitting in the stands.

Transfer to Stop Out anyone?

Why Stop Out?
If he thinks he's good enough for Central League, which he must do of he expects to start for LH, than why would he leave LH and only go to a Prem League club?

Agreed, but if are than happy to go play at a lower level I guess the coach was right to bench you in the first place.

I think the suggestion is because his brother is coach at SO.

You are quite correct nightz.
Why would he leave the club that he has been at his whole life?
But then again why would he stay if he isnt wanted by the club where he has been his whole life?
If he cant get respect for that and play ahead of some of the woeful players that are at L/Hutt these days it would be a waste of time to stay there. L/Hutt hardly set the world alight with their football so I think he will definitely leave now and should really have left a long time ago.

Stop Out maybe? I dont think so.
Wests, Olympic or Petone perhaps?
Who knows?

Youngblood, its a fact in football that sometimes the best players dont always get a start. Its up to the coach to communicate to them why that is, its good man management. That does not mean that the player "isnt wanted" afterall he was selected in the 1st team squad.

back to the football,  wests seem to be on fire beating palmy 7-0 a team that the greeks could only draw with...   Today will be the first real test on how good this wests side may be.
And if petone get a result, this wll clearly be a notice that they will again challenge for th title...

bubbles blew it against the orangie today!
up 1 nill and dominating they gave away a soft goal. jimmy then made it 2-1 just befor the break.
after 1/2 time the bubbles came out looked good, got a peno, and a 2 on 1 which raff missed both (the 2 on 1 dale made a cracker of a save).
then the bubbles exploded
diamonds went up 3-2 until churchie went on an agressive run down the left and straight into the box setting up jimmy for a tap in. 3all

Intersting game, bubbles should have killed the orangie but they couldnt score in a brothel then the orangie came into the game

you had a great game Dale, showed up Utting a bit, cos he should ahve held the shot that led to WU's first.

young ginger fellah for United looked quite promising, a real livewire.

I thought Hachim's decision making was quite poor-but then he did sneak two goals

What was the mood like with Roscoe afterwards? was it a case of two points lost or a hard earned point? Salmon072009-04-13 18:15:31
