Good game by the boys in Green yesterday. Apart from conceeding a soft first goal, and a couple of defensive lapses at the back for Wairarapa, they would of been happy with going into half time at 1 all. Screamer from Seule Soromon to draw even. Second half started pretty much the same, with a defensive lapse at the back to gift Ryder the second goal. And then a well finished header from Seule to make it 3-1. Hats off to Wests players and management, for being so welcoming even with the banter from the away supporters. Also to Trent at the back, who got a barrage of banter from us, and still continued to thank the away supporters after the game. Well done.

the 2 goals in the first were defo against the run of play, but Diamonds played the better footie in the 2nd and deserved it- almost had a fourth then Abba scored at the other end- that lifted the bubbles briefly, but then Utd rallied again

entertaining stuff

Huge result for United.

All four goals were outstanding. Agree with Salmon, the game swung both ways and for a period in the first half it was all Olympic and if not for some great defending from the "visiting side" the score at the break might have read a bit differently. Second half United had the better chances and could have two or three more, Olympic were playing desperately but Abba's goal aside their attacks never came to much later in the game.

This must be a volunteer reporting role surely. It's some of the finest work i have come across, informative, well structured, insightful.

It's made my day.

Well if you know anything about Anendra Singh, and if he's the benchmark, you'll see what I see - a job at the HBT is a big gig.

Anyway, if that's how Adams treats his players he won't win a bean all season regardless of who he recruits.

Word is Michael Fifi has already turned his back on them and has decided to stay with Miramar.

Mar 4 - 3 greeks. A couple of cracking goals from Fifi and Rowe scored the winner from a header. Barry Lewis must miss half the season with the amount of red cards he gets.

Good goals taken from lapse in defence.

Irate goal keeper quits Vale

http://www.hawkesbaytoday.co.nz/news/irate-goal-keeper-quits-vale/1394528/

.....They drew 2-2 against Wellington Olympic in Hastings but lost their only point after fielding an unregistered player, Karol Kakate, who has returned to Solomon Islands after his father died days before the Olympic match on May 6. Fellow islander Chris Tafoa accompanied him home and the pair won't be back this season.

The article is incorrect that wgtn clubs want the bay clubs out. Why would wgtn want another level of premier football.

Maycenvale are a shambles. Another player quit during the week as well and I wouldn't bet against more jumping ship by the way he talks to and about his players. Can't see them staying up.

If my memory serves me right and ifs getting worse. A wgtn team was relegated a few years ago and suggested at a CF meeting CL go to a 12 team league or only have 1 out of wgtn team(Cap F/ball) (they stay up).  It went down like a lead ball, Napier City coach came dow to next meeting to clarify and every one was assured nothing could or would happen until the next review and would be by ageement with Central. As the CL board is even numbers of Cap and Central f/Ball.

CL needs the top teams from both Federations to keep level high in our area.  Go maycenvale.

Yeah for the good of Central Football it needs to stay the way it is. The newly formed "Team Gisborne" are on a Central League mission this year. I think there will always be teams from around the central region that aspire to play in CL and getting there is one thing but staying there is another.

Is the real issue that teams don't want to travel twice a year? I can't see how that argument will cause any changes.

Is there a website that simply lists the results and a current league table? Sportingpulse is shit. Way overly complicated.

Try the "Ultimate NZ Soccer" website and link through to "NZ Soccer Scoreboard"

They have the results of each of the NZ football leagues there

Some big match ups may be costly for cup games Monday. Wiararapa v Miramar - Petone v Wgtn Utd

Then Monday Wgtn utd v Miramar,
