Lower Hutt CL seeking a new coach. What happened to McIntyre?

Heard whispers he might be going to Napier

I remember Jose helping out with coaching of rep teams etc when he first came to NZ 10-15 years ago or so and was very good back then. Is he not the same anymore?

I have heard of his reputation re age group coaching but sadly his senior coaching leaves a lot to be desired. I fully believe his heart is in the right place but maybe his coaching is best suited to academy stuff.

Fuck this stupid game

Did Wellington United get promoted to CL under him? Is that the dude?

Fair enough. I guess time will tell to see how he gets on with Tawa. Who I take it would be favourite for the drop early doors with Lower Hutt. Stop Out will no doubt be recruiting well seeing they already have Abba. I think Palmy may not do so well this year with a different coach.

I know he took Wellington Utd when they got relegated but to fair they were a pretty poor side from all accounts so were always favourites that year to get relegated so I don't think it would have mattered who took them IMO.

Didn't he win Central League early doors (2006 I think?) with a Miramar side that didnt have many stars?

He may have, I'm not sure bit I'm not pulling that comment out of my arse - plenty of current CL/CP players that I know agree.

In fact I'm pretty sure some players left WU because they weren't too stoked with him. Comes up with some real bizarre stuff. Talking purely coaching here - don't want to sound like I'm rubbishing the guy's character.

so did they try his idea's or just resist as they know better?

a good player embraces all styles and approaches to the game as every coach has new and bizarre ideas otherwise they all would be the same and football would not be the beautiful game we have today.

i am not defending or attacking this coach as i know nothing about his history i am only commenting on your last post re players leaving WU.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Still the Ifill to Wairarapa keeps being told to me at the bar.

Any word on a coach for the Mar? They're the only club yet to announce as far as I know?

Also hearing chatter of a player exodus from Rangers: Mason-Smith, Fa'arodo, Peverley, Chettleburgh all leaving. Anyone know more?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

The new turf will cater for rugby and football with Wairarapa United planning to have their Central League side playing their home games on Friday nights and their men's youth side and women's teams on Sunday afternoons.

So they expect teams from Wellington to get out to Masterton for a 7:30pm game on a Friday?

I would say that people criticised Phil for throwing money at players. But it's led to a new turf in the Rapa. And may lead to entry to the ASBP.

Miramar Rangers is very pleased to announce Wiremu Patrick as the Central League coach for 2015.

If he can keep the same players, the team almost coaches itself

From that perspective it's a pretty smart move. A good chunk of the first team are his friends.

That can be a double edged sword of course.

Although didn't some one on here say a lot of the TW guys are not coming back?

Why all the secrecy over Ifill taking the Rapa? By all accounts (multiple people in the know) it's a done deal. Seems strange that no-one is coming out and saying it. Maybe he is still waiting for a club to come in?

why are the U20's not using the great artificial turf we have had built and are fifa approved?

or are they not as great as people have said?

i know i would prefer to play on Endeavour or Newtown than any of the artificial turfs.

i cannot comment on DF as i have never had the pleasure.

don't get me wrong i do think the Turf has it's place i just am sick of been told that they are the be all and we need more so the grass can be retired.

as for the delay for Newtown Wellington united could use number 2 now that it is looked after properly.

and endeavour has two fields  so i would say one would be still available?

or maybe they could use ole……

Miramar is the club with the biggest headache as Marist and Seatoun also have demands on fields in the area.
