Gee advertising for Capital Premier, not Central League. Perhaps they are planning for next year.

Any gamblers in here? Bet365 offering $5.25 odds on Miramar to beat Napier today. Obviously unaware that all the TeeDubs boys are back. Certainly not a sure thing but Napier often don't travel well so definitely worth a punt.

I saw an advertisement today, from someone in the UK on behalf of Wellington United looking at bringing out a young CB from the 5 or 6th tier. Will supply them flights, first month accommodation get them a hospo or labour job and give them $150 a week.

I see they lost 12 Nil today. They don't need someone from UK 5th tier, they need Messi

So they have a royal blue home kit and a dark blue away kit? The picture looks like their home kit anyway...

They traveled 6 hrs to play Miramar (Blue n Black) with a dark blue kit and a Black kit. No one saw trouble in that?

Arrogance by them!!  Hope they have to change their kit in their return game! Doesn't Central/Capital check these things?

As home team, I'd have Mae Napier find another strip or wear bibs. Rules are clear.

Where team colours clash the visiting team shall be obliged to change to its alternate strip

otherwise the first-choice strip (both strips as stated by each Club and circulated by the

Competition Manager prior to the start of the season) for both teams will be worn at all times.

Any Club wishing to vary from the stated colours must advise the Competition Manager, by

noon on the Wednesday preceding the match. On most occasions it may only be necessary

for teams to change their shirts. However, on other occasions they may also be required to

change shorts and/or socks. It is the responsibility of the visiting team to ensure that they

take the correct strip with them to the fixture. Failure to comply with any aspect of this

Regulation will result in a fine of $250 to the offending Club.

Watched WU vs SO. Disgrace!! 12 nil that should never happen in CL. More to the point. There a young kids out there getting exposed that shouldn't be close to CL football.

CF need to step in and help this once so dominant club. Wellington Phoenix need to be made accountable for this farce..or it will happen again with LH.

When they teamed up with the Nix they were not exactly on a roll. The Nix helped to drag them out of a financial mess.

CF gave them no choice. Lose the CL spot and drop to cap 5 where their reserves are. W-League sides pulling out were given the option to go to prem in similar circumstances. Can see why they are trying to do their  best as high as they can.

You say disgrace but yet they are in 9th place. What does that say about Wairarapa even though I know they are not getting smashed. But as it stands wellington United are not the team getting relegated. On top of that they are only 2 points behind Miramar as well. So yet it may be a disgrace but they could still stay in central league.

And Lower Hutts situation prior to the Nix joining them is eerily similar to the same predicament WU were in. If I was Lower Hutt you'd have to hopefully take some serious lessons from how Wellington United have turned out and put some steps in place to be able to cover yourself should the Nix leave.

In some ways though Lower Hutt have been heading down this path for years now, starting with when McIntyre kicked/forced every older player out of the club several years ago. Bar takings would be interesting to see! Coke and Sprite sales would be through the roof!

If the finances of your club rely on how much beer you are selling to your first team players, you have bigger issues going on.

I was more pointing out I wonder if the club exists as a "club" at all now, being that the top three teams are all effectively Nix run. I'm not even old but I remember going back to the clubrooms at Lower Hutt after a match and it used to be heaving.

The Lower Hutt Clubrooms  bar only needed 50 people to be packed.  I recall for many years their after match was held at The Station Village Pub until it went bust a few years ago.

Lower Hutt relied almost solely on Pokie money  and since that dried up they have suffered some big losses

Well, wellington United's bar also looks to be suffering. Not many are going to turn up to that kind of pounding week in week out.

But the Central League Committee signed off on the kits for all teams I believe.

Left out again (sigh)
