Whats up with Stop Out?, 12 goals against in 2 games, Gulley retiring can't have been that bad? Maybe leftfootonly has an idea........

Keeper!!!  Ball has to get there first I know. But.......Some very very basic mistakes from him, that teams would expect the most inexperienced keeper to handle.

I think some goals v LH looked like dodgy keeping?

There's definitely some poor keeping there for LH but he is not helped at all by his defensive line.

I'd say only the fourth goal is a definite keeper mistake. Could have done better on a couple of others (third and fifth I think) but one of those is a failure of the complete defensive unit, and the free kick seemed a decent strike too.

Wow, only got through the first three so far, but if that's the standard of defending in front of him, i'm not surprised he has shipped a few.  Calamitous defending for the first, free header for the second, and WTF!? for the third with the passing in the box!

OK, watched the rest - the fourth he was maybe at fault, but only in so much as he could maybe have taken a better option in hindsight, but the striker was one on one with him at pace, he's being scored on more often than not.    Fifth, hard to tell on the angle, looked a good free kick though, maybe he could have saved it?  Can't say.  6th was shark defending at the top of the box, and the seventh another free header.

If I was scapegoating based just on this game, the keeper isn't the first place i'd be looking!

Mainland Football started doing that before we went backwards. Now we're lucky to get results.

Oh, possibly. I just saw it was 2 minutes long, but it was the North Wellington-Lower Hutt game so I guess it did have seven goals to squeeze in.

The Olympic coach should be fuming at his centre back...4-0 up at about 85mins? near halfway & he decides to wrestle someone to the ground with both arms around player & then he's surprised when he gets the most obvious 2nd yellow !

Based on twitter, Mar went down to 10 men at 2-1. Olympic (jackson) also missed a penalty late when it was 3-1.

Miramar were miles better. Olympic didn't threaten much although the saved pen might have made things interesting.

a 1-0 lead at half time is the worst possible score in football (or is it 2-0?)

So NW and Petone have both had coach sackings? CL is the new EPL?

Magno went went a couple of weeks ago, Jess Ibrom (ex Tasman) is now the coach of North Wellington

I hadn't heard about Howe though

thought the resident Newstalk ZB Central League expert would have been up on the play on these........

That's saying a lot greenie!  Prety sure the old Utting/Mike McGarry/Mal Dunford/Vaughn Coveney days would give these teams a hurry up

Its back yard football at its best and coaches are getting the sack!!! Some of these clubs and official's think thy are in the EPL. Disgrace!!

Permalink Permalink

It definitely wasn't the board driving the Petone sacking, so give them some grace.

just watched all the game highlights on youtube from round 10.. whats with all the crowds well exceeding 100 people on the weekend? Alex Moore look likes like atleast 200-300 once you include players/staff. Capital football should be following other local sports encouraging no spectators or atleast not filming the games and plastering it all over social media with hundreds of people flouting the "rules"

A good question. This is a tricky situation, these are public parks - and limiting to 100 seems like a difficult (unlawful?) task for the clubs who play there.

College Sport 'banned' spectators at the weekend - but looking at emails from schools, parents still turned up.
