Two truly weird results; who'd have predicted those? Wish I'd driven down to Petone to watch Calcott have a fit instead of watching Marist beat UH.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Dunno..was just guessing his frustration is going to come out sometime soon with 2 losses in a row and the title up for grabs if Wairarapa can beat them.

So Mar, Wests, Rapa and Petone all still in with a decent chance of winning the league. Possibly Napier as well. last 2-5 rounds (depending on the team) will be very interesting.

Its no longer a problem.

Yeah but will the way various teams have to play eachother there is likely to be only two teams that can win it: Miramar and Wairarapa; Napier a bit of a long shot IMO.

If Waiarapa beat Miramar and Waiarapa lose to Olympic and Napier win their remaining games then they win it I think Rambo2011-07-22 12:19:10

Two of Petones games are Lower Hutt and Maycenville. Not sure about the other 2. Probably Wairarapa with their cup run and someone else.

Am i right in thinking that a loss this weekend for palmy marist means their relegation is confirmed?

I see Lower Hutt have postponed their game this weekend due to having three away at the U20s, does this mean that they are not playing again until after the world cup?

Is that right? Who are they due to play? You must be looking forward to the Premier League this time around The Baggies.

They are due to play Petone. And yes the PL will be good.

Petone Lower Hutt fixtures are usually boring affairs anyway. They might as well just turn up to Petone's clubrooms and discuss what might have happened over a few beers.
The players who were most likely to pick up cards could just put their fines on the bar and both clubs could safe on Laundry fees. Referees could relax without fear of abuse and the old timers from both clubs could talk about what might have happened in years gone by instead of freezing on the sideline. Petone might even let the LH oldtimers stand out on the balcony.

I thought C F advised some years ago national duty was to be calculated into a teams ability to play through the season. Wasn't Miramar's women's C/L team disadvantaged a few seasons ago when playing U/Hutt when most of the team was on National duty? and C?F said you must play. Hogster2011-07-27 17:26:39

from what I've heard looks like there might be several CL players playing Cap 1 this weekend. Someone calculated the way the games have been structured since last week could mean they could drop a total of 9 from the first team.

Wests are pretty much just a youth side this season, with the exception of Troy and Mat in the back. Considering that theyve done Ok.

As I said,you were wrong.
Senior Transfers:         CAPITAL 1:         Petone __ Lower Hutt __ Petone 1 (2.30) NOW Postponed

Capital 1
Petone v Lower Hutt   Postponed

I wonder what the 3rd team will look like this week? Interesting in that they are also playing Petone. Both teams could have 1st and 2nd team members playing though we all know Petone wouldnt stack their team.

shhh. apparently it was because LH got their CL game postponed cos of u20s, and they could stack v Petone. Should have just played it - Petone dont have a CL game either
