my experiences ove the years is there are always a number of tawa supporters that are pretty rugged. One eyed and offensive is a fair summation on some days as well... but look where they play, you have to be comiited to your team/clu to turn up and watch football at redwood.. the bar afterwards is allways pumping though..

Are they any games/grounds where there aren't any one-eyed and offensive supporters?
And just to clarify, I wasn't trying to endorse abuse from spectators at all (especially seeing as I wasnt at the game involved). Just that sometimes all it takes is one or two people to make a whole club look bad.

Those were the ones..... however they weren't as apparent last year... there were, on the other hand, a lot of young kids with Wainui banners cheering non-stop...which I thought was impressive
Back to being on topic...no-one picked Marist to beat UH I saw

To
clarify Island Bay's penalties. The first was hand
ball, and the second was for chopping one of Island Bay's
players. (Click the link below for the videos)
A hand ball penalty is always up for ref's interpretation and as a player I
always cringe whenever we're awarded one for it, unless it's a totally blatant
(Goalie style) goal saving catch, which I can almost always have to laugh about
:)
However, in saying that, the link below also shows another Wairarapa tackle
which was a pen, but was given as a freekick instead. It probably wasn't given
because Island Bay
had just scored off another penalty, but the video shows just how tough 'rapa
were finding it stopping Island
Bay's attack at 2-1 up.

If only Wairarapa's second goal was caught on tape, then Island Bay could
provide you all with a visual of Soloman's 10 yard head start (A mile Offside!)
i didnt catch the pens so have to take your word on that.
Agreed, The ref would have be torn apart by the "honest" Wairarapa Times, if he had given three pens in 10 minutes, rather than two.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
Perhaps he'll make the switch once he's too old for his trademark shoulder tackle?
