I hear the Richmond vs. Coastal Spirit kick-off now move back to 2pm to allow for fog delayed Coastal players to get to Nelson.

he played on the holiday Monday for Wests - so I dont see how he could be eligible - unless he maybe transfed the next day and took the field the next sunday + yesterday

I think it is only if playing for a new club, i.e. if playing for the same club from one season to the next when all OK.

A little embarrassinng for MPL sides once again. Looks as if Coastal Spirit wins the McFarlane Cup for the best placed Christchuch team in the Chatham Cup for 2011.

I was always under the impression that if you'd played a cup match for one team, you couldn't play in the cup for another team for the remainder of that season.

well i assume he didnt play for anyone else. It is actually 7 days before you can play your two matches - so I dont see how he could be eligible to play for Waitak unless he was not eligible to play for Wests the other monday

Big assumption there I reckon. 3 of the teams in the bottom half of the Mainland league played, 1 of them through to next round. One game was a smashing, agreed, the other went to extra time and decided by a single goal. Nothing too embarrassing there.

And the 7-2 scoreline flattered Western.
