Petone seem to have dropped two goals since your half time update! So much for the banana peel - sack the Pod.
Wharf beat Norf Welli 3-0 despite playing with 10 men for 70 minutes

Good spot, I saw a tweet saying Petone had gone up 6-0 with a goal to Hamish Watson and I thought it sounded fishy....

Too bad Marist being 1-2 down to Olympic at half time couldn't be closer

Olympic are bloody classy

Yeah cant believe it paid off, you would of thought Wainui would of put out there strongest side but they took the piss and played half there reserves.

Guess those little scared west boys don't like playing the east side Wainui dogs. Tepuni's leadership and hunger for the ball is exceptional, who would of thought a player would work so hard for there win bonus guess its a good top up from his benefit. His proud uncle TJ took the boys back to the gang house for the second time this month. Good bunch of lads Chur Wainui tumeke.

........

Come on AJ13 was that comment really needed you obviously weren't at the game. You make taking the piss way to much fun.

What's the bet the DomPost report this as fact?      ..I'll shut up now....

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Word on the mean streets of Wainui is that their coach was given the hard word from Tepuni's Uncle Bully Bully, he shat himself and hooned out of the training grounds in his car nearly hitting a player. Wainui is now looking to bring in a coach from the Rugby League Club to fill the void, outside teams can expect the Nui to be a far more intimidating place if this goes ahead. Boil up and fried bread is now available in the kitchen, Lion Red on tap at the bar.

It was actually a very close game - and the score line is a bit unflattering to EFC.
The score was 1-0 for about 60'. 2nd goal came from a long ball where the defender didn't position himself well. EFC hit the bar and forced the Naenae GK to make at least 2-3 good saves.
3rd goal was a CB brain explosion in the last couple of minutes.
Don't get me wrong, Naenae in the end were deserving winners, but had we been a bit more lucky it could have been a very different game.
Anyway, well done to them (a bunch of VERY good, humble guys) and best of luck for the 2nd round.

I saw about 60 minutes of the game cos i was out Eastbourne way and knew it was on.

It was closer than 3-0, or at least if EAFC had taken the chances, including the shot which hit the bar, then it would have been all on.
It seemed like the two african guys for Naenae were the difference- their close control in the wet, and in tight spaces allowed NFC to have consistent, forward momentum and the tall striker for Naenae was calm in front of goal and took his chances.

Actually, just saw that there is an all-Prem clash so good point, there was something waffly about seedings I read at the start of the season, must have misread.

Miramar v Wairarapa, tasty.

Lower Hutt and Tawa could share a bus to New Plymouth but Karl Romijn would need to decide what side of the ailse he is going to sit.

Tauranga City United Athletic Football Club (surely the most stupid club name in the country) was knocked out by Waitemata in the last round.

Stupid club name in country, I nominate Christchurch's FC Twenty11 (formed in 2011 when Burnside and Avon merged)
