Birko progress to the Round of 16 for the first time in their history. A wonderful achievement for the small North Shore club.

Three for me, and two for them.

Results like this especially at this stage of the cup make a mockery of the competition to be honest.

Three for me, and two for them.

Western 1 - Nelson Suburbs 0

Played in the pouring rain. A western defender passed the ball back to the keeper who then picked the ball up! Which is against the rules. Should have been a penalty.

Indirect free kick actually.

Well the ref let play continue.

It also would have had to have been a clear cut pass back. The ref obviously didn't think it was, because he would know that rule if he was given the whistle for a Chatham Cup game.

Fuck this stupid game

Two controlled touches from the defender. The rest of the crowd (other than the supporters group) actually made some noise when it happened. Was very very bizarre.

Top of the mainland league, they are no easy beats. From what I heard they were hard done by.

He's just saying that because i said the same about Roslyn after we were handed Western instead. Which is what I heard from a few otago football fans on here!

So will there be any mistakes/re-draws in the next round?   Or have they got it right this time?

Yes. We got beat 4-2 at home after leading 2-1 for much of the second half. Heartbreaking. The rematch should be brilliant.

Three for me, and two for them.

wasn't this meant to be a national draw?

The cup draw goes national from the fourth round and Upper Hutt coach Ian Porteous is hoping for "anyone but Miramar or Olympic".

hold on a sec....

must be some relief for mr porteous that upper hutt didn't draw olympic today...

He would have preferred Olympic. As for the draw, from the NZF website:  Round Four July 3/4 (National draw). So yes, it was national, but then it wasn't. But to compensate, there is another $200 fee to be paid by clubs still in it. 16 x 200 = $3200. Anyone's guess where that money will go. Promotion? Travel subsidy?

4 nil doesn't reflect the game to well. it was an epic battle and after Sacha saved the pen we scored three goals when UH were pressing desperately for a goal. had that pen gone in the game may gave been different. well done to UH getting a big turn out though, was a great atmosphere. we'll come back for three points next weeks thanks

oh and wear Orange again everyone, we like!TopLeft072010-07-03 17:40:14

Birko lost 3-1 in horrible conditions today. Ref and Lino on our side were complete c**ts kicking us all out of dugout because we had too many in the techinical area, f**king bollocks considering the conditions, heartless c**t.

Apart from that well played Glenfield and good luck for the rest of the comp.

Three for me, and two for them.
