Yea we were not allowed to play cos the grounds were too wet. Both teams wanted to play but the refs would not let that happen. Good result for you boys over mid Canty.

Ahh Bugger thats a bit rough (wonder what will happen there then)  -

Sounds like the Waimak Game will be played Saturday which will mean the other teams will have to wait it out for another week (le sigh)

Chch Utd MPL/PDL default the other week was not a piss trip. Some sort of protest. I was always told if you were going to protest you had to have placards, be chained to something or at least sit down cross-legged and chant "OM".

And burn your bra, preferably after removing it.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

DIV 1 champions - we are not there yet, by a long way.

I thought there was something off about that "Piss Trip"  So is this saga of who goes up going to drag on forever then?  Next year I really hope Mainland get their shit sorted out with regulations.

the regulations are fine, not the issue, their admin however .........

Will be interesting to see if ChCh United appeal over the ruling in Div 1 as the rules that Mainland  use are direct from FIFA, so United will have to have a very good case if they think they have any hope of winning if they appeal, or they do not fully understand the rules.

Agree fifa & nzf  regulations are fine - it's the f@$&kn around with them by MF administrators that is the killer every time. If they just applied  the rules that are there rather then trying to bastardise them because they think it'll make life easier for them we'd all be better of and know where we stand. MF has a habit of one knee jerk reaction after another.

Haha love the user name.
No red cards in the Coastal Tech game, so can't have been there.  I heard someone got sent in the FC Nomads game, perhaps that was it? Anyone there?

Juniors - can anyone confirm a major delay in naming NTC squads, and thus some Canty rep teams? I thought it would all be done and dusted by about now.

FC v Nomads followed by the statement anyone there is a contradiction in terms isn't it?
Until the headline appears in the Press one can only outrageously assume if it was the Nomads v FC game it would have to be a Nomads player? Rationale being racial abuse is usually seen as a paleskin fella inviting a tanned fella to his house for a BBQ? Don't think there are many tanned fella's in Nomads team but certainly a few in FC's. It could also have been any of the other 2 games? Come on guys if you don't know fake it 'til you make it.

OK spill the beans or part of the story line today and more to follow.
A Mainland board member was given a red card in the game as mentioned.
For what not obvious to spectators, I was not there so only hear say. Maybe called the ref A T*** [a la Keith Braithwaites saying] or at least back chat.
Nomads played like a team on summer holiday as with nothing to play for couldn't give a toss. Hear say again.
Who would want to travel to Nelson this weekend with that attitude in your squad.

re:violence

I heard there was more shenanigans at another  Senior match as well this weekend.

And a Junior Match a ref sent a player after taking offence to being called a "f...ing c" , only for the coach to storm on and repeat the phrase...

Club Football = Life and Death.

I'd like the listings to show Club and Player Club Affiliations. It should also show FTC.

Hmm, only board member I can think of from nomads would be a certain c a initials. Should he now be put under the scrutiny of the board? Perhaps tend resignation, not a good look in my opinion. On a brighter note Chch united are not appealing so div 1 winners are uni which I'm sure all will agree is deserved. A couple of key signings for them next year and I think they will surprise a few

I can't work out what is gossip, hearsay or fact anymore. Might wanna wait for some concrete gossip before requesting resignation. If it was just a red card for second yellow or dodgy tackle then so be it.

However, it would be classic if it was for referee abuse considering his occupation and board roles!

Heard it was a straight red but confusion if was it foul language directed in fustration or was it abuse directed at opposition player. I heard no complaint was made by any player.

Yes straight red. Anderson complained to ref after ball had gone out of play about not getting the foul given when up ended by FC player.
Was a clearcut foul, but again we have a case of poor reffing getting in the way.
Chat with ref went for approx 20 seconds. Hear he called the FC player a cheating c***. Refs report has it as a Czech C*** that was  forth coming from Andos lips. Chris has been handed a one week suspension at this stage as stated on the report from Martin Stewart. that's is all I know.
Maybe time for each team to supply a ref for one half each, couldn't be any worse than the crap we see some weeks at MPL level.
Save clubs a few $ over the season on refs fees and only clubs to blame for not having the best available.
We have two or more assessors at some games and the standard of the four officials at a game seems to be going backwards.
Mike Coggin still goes on about making the playing standard better, time he started to get his own troops [refs] in order and upskilled, never mind about putting pressure on clubs to be more professional and get Gold award status etc.
What a load of bull that is trying to keep someone in a paid job me thinks.
No need to go as far down as PDL level to see how bad the officiating has gone down hill in the last 3 or 4 years.
On another point does Tony Smith only report on Football when it's about persons/players/refs being attacked.

You know what Scottie, if your attitude to officials is representative of the prevailing attitude around the traps, and your 'fixit' model is the elixir to those woes (get clubs to provide them - bahahahahahaha) then it should come as no surprise that we have been seeing more and more issues this current season.  Some of what you suggest above is laughable sport.

On a positive note about referees (for once), the ref who took Selwyn/Mid Canty Div1 game (Phil Radford?) was given 'man of the match' by Mid Canty coach at the after match. There was nothing but agreement from the Selwyn boys too, he was very good. Granted, a lot of referees seem to have less than average performances, and I have had my fair share of disagreements with them on the pitch, but they very rarely get praise for good games

Spoke to someone high up from Mainland over the wknd (off the record) and he said that there was no clash of times for Wgton coming down for the Chatham Cup, the reason it is being played at Garrick is because Tech want it there. Fair enough, their home ground, however seeing how cut up it was on the wknd, with pools of water everywhere, it would have been such a good idea to have them both at English Park. 2 games of footy on a quality pitch, charge what you want. Game on.

Think I read somewhere on forums or heard that tech felt playing at English park would give Olympic some sort of advantage as their home ground is plastic. LOL
