Yeah correct, I got told that last night, Parklands Reserve an option to keep the home tie advantage for Burwood

Newsflash:  Council workers 'accidentally' mistake the thousands of dollars being poured into Garrick and confused it for the $0 being spent on Clare Park.

Or was it me hoping to sabotage Clare Park so it gets moved to English Park after the Coastal game for a double-header?

Dramarama!

I've been Invercargill so Alabi locked in. I hope it's still Clare park because my wife has erected temporary changing shed in our garage as were only up the road . She will kick my arse if it's moved.

One of my team-mates played the entire game caked in waist deep mud after the bank he was standing on to fish the ball out of the creek collapsed and he fell in.  Hilarious.

Didn't smell too good tho.

Ah the old 'I was in Invercargill' alibi. Couple that with the well known fact that when you are down there, they don't have the technological advances allowing you to contact those outside of the town, and are quite frankly suspicious of those who try to, I think it is plainly clear that you must have had nothing to do with it.....

Yes and a deserve win. Put pressure on Technical early on and ttok the lead with a well taken goal and Tech had their chances but did not take the.

Big round next week for the top four with Tech away to Bays and Suburbs at home to Western, with the other games Coastal at home to Niomads with University at home to Halswell.

Great result for suburbs; and to be honest timely reminder for cashmere. Did they have their eye on Mondays banana skin at Clare?
Gossip has been a bit thin of late so here's a few tidbits that have come my way lately
1. Mr Halligan to make a complaint about coastal supporters at Barnett park on Saturday. Apparently they were barracking loudly in support of their team.
2. Halswell has been 'attracting' players since their new management contract has been in place; coincidence?
Also heard a very well known player is moonlighting in another league but need to check to see if there is any truth to it.
What else is happening?

Apparently they were particularly vociferous when the lino missed a blatant offside that lead directly to Bays goal. An offer of a set of spectacles made to the afflicted lino was taken totally out of context. Quite rude really.

hard fought 3 pts for Selwyn today against a much improved fc twenty. Not the best performance of late but what is pleasing was to see a clean sheet and a victory without either of main strikers getting on scoresheet.

True story.  Was real tight tho with Nomads hitting the post and going close on a number of occasions.  Coastal also had some near misses too however one chip of the keeper proving the goods.

Uni stuck on 6 points, and halfway through the league, will there be a big comeback?

Big game in the next round, in two weeks time with University away to Nomads and then at home to Coastal so will need at least a win from these two games or it will be hard going in the final round.

I hear that Halswell were lucky to hold University out yesterday with the Hawks down to ten for the last 15 minutes due to an injury. I can still be University picking up more points but will be be enough, need to learn to ground out a result.

Nelson Suburbs beat Western 2-1. Nelson led 1-0 at half time with penalty, Western equalised mid second half also with penalty but had defender sent off for 2nd yellow with 15 min to play. Ben Wright scored the winner in the 90th minute.
