Global Game - 1. factually incorrect

Apologies; but so I can tear strips off my sauce, which piece of info is incorrect?

We appear to be missing the Men's Reserves, Division 5, Division 6, Over 45's Legends, O45's Vikings, 13th grade girls Black, 10th grade girls Red, 14th grade black, 13th grade red, 12th grade yellow, 12th grade white, 12th grade blue, 11th grade red, 11th grade black, 11th grade white, 11th grade girls grey, 10th grade black, 9th grade blue, 9th grade grey"

Do Mainland Football not enough to do, so they will be auditing an 8/9 year olds grade to fill in their time???

They want to check that the 8 and 9 year olds are playing in-house at Kendall and not secretly subbing on in the WPL to help manage the minutes of your 13 and 14 year olds with dispensation. ;)

What's happened to Mainland's preview and reviews of the weekend's action. Seems to have fallen away.

I think it's more they are auditing clubs, as they should do. If coaches do their job properly then it shouldn't be an issue to produce the paperwork required

With 103 years of English Cup history there has been 26 different winners (in different guises), how many can you name. Tip none of tonights teams have their name on the cup.

Fair play on Hornby fronting  up tonight. Going to be a tough game I imagine.

Interestingly but not surprisingly most of the previous winner are no longer in existence.

Here are a few of the oldies:

Yeah i get that, I just wonder if it's entirely necessary for grades other than say the top 2-3 mens/womens grades, ie not 8 year old kids and not Masters grades for instance. As far as I'm aware no other sport requires it other than top club level. Just more paperwork for all volunteer coaches to have to do and submit...

I've been told they're auditing team sheets to ensure players are registered so clubs can follow up with players to ensure they have up to date data but more importantly so clubs can ensure every player has paid their subs to play and give the all important $ to support club operations and expenses

  1. I see the preview/review is back. You're welcome
  2. Get your picks in, two to go.
  3. Does the transfer window close at the end of the month?

From Mainland Football

Hi all

Mainland Football has taken the unprecedented step in cancelling all football over this coming weekend, with the exception of MPL and WPL matches.

This decision has not been made lightly and the main factor is that, due to hardened grounds caused by the very dry summer and autumn, with the heavy rain last week the grounds are now very sodden, and with the forecast of more rain this weekend.

Mainland Football wishes to preserve the grounds for as long as possible, and believe by playing this weekend many grounds will be on the verge of being unplayable for some considerable time.

Mainland Football are as frustrated as our members will be, but hope our members will be understanding that this decision has been made in the interest of preserving grounds.

Regards

Reading this out in Rolleston with currently not a cloud in the sky seems a bit weird, but actually does make sense. The weather leading up to the rain has been almost unprecedented in terms of warmth and lack of the wet stuff. Even the drainage out here is struggling too.

Just because you don't want to get muddy.

Could they not have played say MPL at English Park, WPL at Yaldhurst and Championship at Waimak?

Except for fact that they can't all play at the same time of the original fixture..and might be a stretch to reschedule with less than 24hours notice!

Western 0, Coatal 4.

Western struggled to make goal scoring chances. Their GK made 2 good saves in the second half, well done that man.

As a Coastal fan it's a strange feeling leaving a MPL game disappointed we only won 4-0. Great expectations and bring onnext week.
