That's it. Will do well to beat the name of Nelson's 3rd goalscorer!

Understand today's game was the last before Atkin Kaua (Suburbs) heads home to the Solomon Islands. Unlikely to be returning for the National League for Tasman.

So round the league today were there any aeroplane celebrations after the mid-week scandal?? Best one I've heard about in a long time was apparently Brennan Pitts from CS scored in his 100th game and celebrated by doing a 'hawk' dance at the nest! I watched Uni vs FC today, tight game but Uni are not helping themselves by playing on that pitch! 3 way challenge at the bottom with 4 games to go... Who's going down? And a 2 team title challenge! Looks like closest title race in last few years! Big game in a few weeks at Cuthbert's

FC young colts 4th. Likely to stay there immediately after promotion. Take a bow Glenn Lapslie. Good job, good man.

Unsure but was told he had to head home as his Visa is about to exspire and not an easy process to get it Visa renewed in a short space of time. Also his club season back in the Solomon Island is about to get underway.

Is there a Mainland coach of the year award? Be a few strong contenders for that between Lapslie and "Messiah".. Maybe even the Nomads coach. Who do you think deserves coach of the year?

No one yet, seasons not over although I don't think you can seriously consider Glenn Lapslie or Nomads coach.

Big game in a few weeks at Cuthbert's

Indeed. The pre match safety briefing will be quite something, as long as nobody shouts over it.

Hoping for a big crowd

No Easterly

And no more than 2 points between the sides

Be good for the competition if it's still up for grabs in R21

Yep and seven other clubs could say pretty much the same thing. No prizes for not getting relegated.

No train smash and no low flying planes. Should be a cracker.

Interesting how people are saying that this is the closest finish to the MPL in recent seasons. Funny as I was thinking the same but looking back on recent seasons.

In 2012 Bays won by 5 points but only wrapped up the title in round 20. Three teams were still mathematically able to win the title going into round 19.

In 2013 Tech won by 8 points but only wrapped up the title in round 20. Four teams were still mathematically able to win the title going into round 19.

In 2014 Tech won by 9 points but only wrapped up the title in round 19. Two teams were still mathematically able to win the title going into round 19.

In 2015 Tech won by 2 points but only wrapped up the title in round 19. Two teams were still mathematically able to win the title going into round 19.

So 2016 looks like will be same as the last two seasons with two team chasing the title going into round 19.

Cowabunga! The Tech plane brought down by a Western scud missile. Congratulations to Western and commiserations to Cashmere.

How about it!! I heard Tech couldnt find any answers without Clapham on the pitch? COASTAL favorites to win a trophy for the first time ever!! The mild whiff of a double swept beneath my nostrils tonight... smells pretty good,  Not sure whether to think much of it..... yet

Merely trying to understand the result. Not taking anything away from Western; regardless it's a great result for them. Just hoping for some half intelligent analysis if that's not too much to ask for.

Western deserved the win they took thier chances we didn't , to be fair they were unlucky at Garrick park also in the league, cup football is all about getting your name in the draw for the next round and they did that , well done .
