Depends if Christchurch Utd have employed someone to do their admin :D

I'd say all clubs will struggle with the admin this season

Nomads have Rose still keeping an eye on things which is a good job because the rest of the executive would be lost in the NZF new incarnation of the wheel.

I'm told the aging Western team got a lot out of their match with the Selwyn youngsters including a lot of cramp.

Tech went 3-0 up, Parklands pulled it back to 3-2 and Tech scored the 4th with 2 minutes to go when Parklands switched formation to go for the equaliser, I'm sure both teams will have got a lot more out of it than the games they had last week.

Games like this are what the pre-season tournament should be about. Waimak beating Bays 12-0 doesn't do a lot for either team.

Obviously each team have their own agenda's for the tournament, and that is totally up to them, but I've a feeling some of these results seen so far will drive some of the better teams away from the tournament in the future.

A few years back every game was very competitive, especially with most MPL sides putting their reserve sides out. Nowadays there are the splattering of good games (at least after the round robin things should even themselves out too for all teams :) )

How much $$ are united paying??? Heard whispers weeks ago that tuckey was chasing a few hundred a game and has been down at united also. kelly certainly doesn't play for free, neither would macintyre. So the academy's the club has run all year round at high prices pays these players wages in other words. We are talking about ccl for gods sake, its ridiculous in mpl as it is

With only one team going up, some CCL  clubs are not going to get a good return on their investment. At least Chch United is offering junior and youth development.

Any progress on the SAS entry in to the CCL?

Colin Grant was not keen on them entering [making an odd number] as he's not there now and if not CCL what Div are they going to be in?

Div7?

Playing home games at English Park if St Albans Park is not completed.

http://www.sporty.co.nz/asset/downloadasset?id=1ed...

Do they have a reserve team too as to be in the CCL they need a reserves too I think

Think it's FC2011 Thunder Panthers if it all goes to plan. Being in Div7 iwould be harsh at least for the other teams in Div7.

'Tis the rule to stop teams just changing clubs.

In saying that, I thought there are no rules in the CCL, if you are the top team of your club, and you meet the criteria, you can go straight in. You don't have to work your way up from Div 7.

SAS happy to have a team start in CCL. Mainland should take the easy way out and put them in Div1 and not run with byes in CCL and the combined CCL/MPL round.

Did not think there is going to be a combined CCL/MPL round, unless it has been changed.

Top team in the CCL promoted after 20 rounds with the bottom three sides in the MPL after the 14 rounds (top 5 sides moving to the South Island League) then playing each other twice to determined which side is relegated, with the teams carry over the points they gained in rounds 1 - 14 in the MPL.

In the first box (where is says seniors), unselect all then click on seniors and oddly enough every league in the country appears

It doesn’t on those fixtures but on the draft ones sent out to clubs it does, plus have heard direct from a Chch Utd player this will be the case (unless they’ve not decided against it)

If I had the opportunity I'd rather play Friday night games when ever possible, don't lose a whole weekend and if you've got kids can watch them play too.

The downside is when you’re involved with the reserve team too and have to make the trip 2 days in a row which takes away from family time too, plus this could impact some teams if players are unable to finish work in time
