From what I heard, two were last man, 1 for stomping, and may have been one more

What were the cards all tackle related or was there some good old referee abuse thrown in there as well.

First was last man professional foul, second was back chat and a second yellow, third was a stomp and headbutt.

Three for me, and two for them.

Good result for glenfield on the weekend. How did the new birko signings play, did they fit in to hobbos system. Heard Mauri played well and Keegan scored

Callum and Ash the two new defenders did very well, hardly put a foot wrong all game. Mauri was strong in the midfield and Keegan was class all over the pitch. Sheldon unlucky up front inches away from a couple of goals himself.

Having Jack Hobbo, John Fletcher, Alex Risdale and Arnie on the bench shows the depth at Birko this year. Like i said a few pages back, unparalleled depth.

Three for me, and two for them.

Sounds like birko could win the league quite easily with a team like that. Be interesting to see how the other teams match up or more importantly if birko can be arsed playing against the lower teams. Birko vs glenfield would be a good game

Fletcher is on the bench?

Mentioned earlier in the thread - very young bloke who acquitted himself very well I thought. Was surprised too when I recognised Fletcher on the bench, but, as Buffy says, just some great depth.

Agree, although I do think glenfield vs birko would be a cracker of a game but only because of the rivalry. Ellerslie and birko to go up this year

Birko 6-2 North Force. Didn't play brilliantly but good enough finishing to get 6. North Force are battlers and will stay up.

Didnt think birko played well either but deserved the win. What was up with the bench? Sheldon Pillay, Keegan Linderboom, Ash Crawford

When you have a squad of that quality you can afford those players on the bench.

Three for me, and two for them.

Found out it was some rotation and they were given a break for the double header this weekend

Really good win for Taka, they're going well, although I hear Ngara had Chewins sent off after only 20mins or so which didn't help their cause.

Bay and Bays good wins in the Prems. Central and Waitak I think are going to struggle until they get their ASB Prem players back.

Was going to head along to the Birko game but ended up heading out for a fish instead. Sounds like they were cruising.

Hibs looking good so far in Div 2. Very surprised at Mangere beating Tauranga yesterday and Matamata losing again, I expected them to be better in the div. My lot have had a bit of luck so far but we were due a bit and have taken our chances, so 6 points from the first 2 games is a great start. Some very tough games to come though.

yeah Taka are making me nervous, i mean we have learnt the hard way not to underestimate anyone but word was Taka were poor pre-season (lost to Fencibles i believe) and in the first round beat FHM by 1 goal (FHM had 3 sent off) but to put 6 past Ngaruawahia is impressive (even with 1 extra man for the majority of the time).

I think this weekend will be a really good game - first game at Michaels Ave for the year - pitch looks really good, so i'm excited for a cracker of a game.

Watched half of glenfield v lynn avon left at half time boring! glenfield will be up there bit like manurewa last season..

Good on Albany bunch of nobodys all working hard for each other

Big T I did exactly the same as you, 1st half at Glenfield then went up to the Albany game.

Forrest really didn't look that flash, although apparetly a few suspended yesterday. Thye looked ok through the back and mids but as soon as they got it forward looked like they had no idea what to do with the ball...

O'Rourkes goal for Glenfield was too easy, long goal kick from Ross and defence were napping. Assist to the keeper.

Went to go watch Wanderers today, game had everything, quality goals, a bald git getting sent off for dissent, keeper injury, some great saves and goals.

Waiatak could be a relegation candidate, a much weaker squad then last year. Wanderers look solid, should be mid-table. Dave Samson was terrific, a quality pick-up for them

went to watch papatoetoe v birko . pitch was a disgrace!
Worst game ever papa just whacked it and got away with numerous tackles..
saying that birko didnt really do enough to win had afew cleared off the line but played v 10 mens for 20 mins and minus a prick of a papaptoetoe coach !!
Thought that ellerslie would beat taka easy
going to watch north shore monday

heard it was a good win to the MAP and Gage got a couple of handy goals.

I went and watched the first half of the Albany vs FHM game and since we played FHM last weekend and Albany on Easter monday this game was of interest, have to say having seen Albany play previous and having seen FHM first hand last week i was sure this was going to be a win to the Beecroft Park lads - but that's football and as someone said Albany worked hard and ground out the win, although neither team were flash. Caught the 2nd half at McFetridge and ok the score indicates Glenfield were all over them but at 1-0 at halftime Lynn Avon had a really good 25mins of possesion and just couldn't carve out a clear chance and then went two down to a soft Hagan goal (a header i think) and then La chased the game and took off a midfielder for an extra attacker. The score was inflated by another Hagan goal (that Zane should have probably stopped) but for mine it wasn't a 3-0 game - but again that's football.

N Bomb, that was former All White Carl Jorgenson who was sent off early doors.

That he was even playing at his age was perhaps a commentary on how desperately short Waitakere are at present.

I left at half time to watch some federation league football instead, but agree Dave Samson did very well.

Was disorientating seeing Wanderers play in Red. :-) (Must check Dave didn't take a strip with him when he left).

Birko game today was quality. Dominating and then Mt Albert got a player sent. Birko had about 80% possession. 8-0 and I dont think fletch even had a shot to save. Hat trick to Keegan, Jack got 2, Sheldon Bill Arnie all got 1
