I am rather embarrassed to say I have no idea as I was texting at the time.... the Massey crowd is incredibly one-eyed (and not that knowledgeable) so obviously they thought it was a red.

From people around me it seems it was just two players who jumped to header and one had more momentum than the other...

Can't help but feel if the Massey player wasn't borderline knocked out on the ground it wouldn't have been a yellow

Can't say who don't know them at all :/

Massey play Lower Hutt at Petone on Wednesday, Wellington at Newtown on the 27th and Lower Hutt at Memorial on the 3rd.

Seatoun visit Wanganui on the 20th, then host Wellington on the 3rd.

BNU's first Capital Premier Women's League title since 2010. And Wanganui became the first team in the eleven-year history of the Central Region Premier Women's League to concede 100 goals in a season today.

Cheers,

JR

Wow - Feel for Stop Out.  Be interesting if Brooklyn do - they were in it not that long ago from memory.
Re Massey - is it Lower Hutt twice?

Poor Wanganui - broke the 100 mark :/

100 goals in a season smashed?

i think there last visit might have given them a taste of what is required so i back BNU to give it a go and make a fist of it.

good sportsmanship and fair playing field is all we ask for

but all we get is talk and goal posts moving

Smashed like UHutt when they first went up.

If they can stay in WomensCL they be better for it.

Central league going to 10 teams in 2015, heard nothing of this!

Surely it cant happen straight away, with no input or thoughts from current clubs involved,

also if they've made a big decision like that shouldn't everyone be informed?

Sorry got year wrong - WCL will go to 10 teams before 2017.  CF Info released to clubs Dec 13.  But I thought I had seen 2015 in a later document but can't find it.

FYI and comment please for our response back to Capital Football.

Also I went to the senior information evening last night, and here are some

brief points from the meeting, I will forward minutes when they are received.

Artificials - 50/50 use training/games, clubs demanding more training time than

game time. 2014 plan is Mon/Tues games Wed/Thurs training and Fridays junior

games. Confirmed use of artificials for training will be by end of January.

Saturday 7.30pm games will no longer be an option. Lots of grumbles about not

playing on home grounds and the impact on majority of clubs.

Easter Football - One round for all. No juniors. Friday All mens games all

divisions. Monday All women and U17. If a team has a certain time they wish to

play during Easter please let us know, first in first served with time

allocations.

Capital 1 & 2 2014 - Bit of discussion around this, and some clubs not happy

with the 11 team outcome and think Cap Football not made the right decision and

voiced their displeasure. Karori and Naenae have appealed to NZ Football and

apparently their decision is due by 24th December.

Affiliation Fees - a spreadsheet is to be sent, however upshot is junior

football only pay 50% of their true cost, and seniors around 95%. Seniors will

be increasing $10 pp (turf fee, which was set at $20) and juniors will be

increasing $7-$14 pp. The presentation goes into details around this.

Womens Central League - to go to 10 teams by 2017. Next season would like U17

league, mixed clubs will be an option like the boys! This league to try and

capture those 14/15 year olds coming out of the Saturday game, and can play both

Saturday and Sunday football. Certainly something we should look into with Dave

Fishers guidance in that area, to at least start our presence back into senior

leagues :)

Draft Regs to be out shortly, and to be sent for ratification at board level by

end of December. Regrading rule main rewrite.

Capital Football AGM to be 17th March 2014.

Will forward through any further information once to hand

Don't think she could feel her hands with the wind and rain.

Did enjoy the foul throw that wasn't given which turned into a throw in to ones self that wasn't called.

Could have thrown in hand ball but she didn't touch it after leaning down to pick up the ball and being told to play on.

looks like Massey took a tonking. I don't think McColl played - and it seems she is crucial for them. Also their keeper would be found out against international strikers I suspect.

Looks like Massey might have blown it. They were terrible for most of the game. Came alive at the end. Too little too late. 3-2. Unsure how the penalty came about. Def haven't been the same without McColl. Three loses in a row I think?
